π¦π Found an Injured Bird? Here's What NOT to Do!
Many people's first instinct is to offer water to an injured or exhausted bird, but forcing water into a bird's beak can do more harm than good.
Birds can easily inhale water into their lungs, which may lead to aspiration pneumonia and other life-threatening complications. Instead, place the bird in a safe, ventilated box, keep it warm, dark, and quiet, and contact a qualified wildlife rehabilitator for assistance.
