🔥 Beef Burger with Tangy Tomato Relish 🔥
Juicy, flavour-packed, and perfectly balanced with that tangy homemade relish — this is not your average burger! 🍔🔥
🍽️ Recipe:
BURGERS:
•500g lean beef mince
•1/2 tsp NOMU Concentrated Liquid Beef STOCK
•1 clove garlic, finely minced
•1 shallot, finely chopped
•1 egg yolk
•2 tbsp Italian parsley, finely chopped
•NOMU Sea Salt & Black Pepper
•Pinch NOMU Beef Rub
•4 ciabatta or burger rolls
SWEET POTATO CHIPS:
•2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunky chips
•NOMU Extra Virgin Olive Oil
•1 tsp NOMU Garam Masala Rub
•NOMU Sea Salt & Black Pepper
•Fresh rocket, to serve
TOMATO RELISH:
•4 ripe Roma tomatoes, seeded and cut into thick strips
•2 shallots, sliced
•2 cloves garlic, minced
•2 tbsp NOMU Extra Virgin Olive Oil
•3 tbsp red wine vinegar
•2 tbsp brown sugar
•NOMU Sea Salt & Black Pepper
•1 tbsp NOMU thyme leaves
•1/2 tsp NOMU One For All Rub
🔥 Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 180°C.
2️⃣ Place sweet potato chips on a tray, drizzle with olive oil, and season with Garam Masala Rub, salt, and pepper. Roast for 30–40 mins until golden and crisp.
3️⃣ For the relish, mix all relish ingredients in a baking dish and roast at 180°C for 30 mins until soft and caramelized.
4️⃣ Combine all burger ingredients, shape into 4 patties, and pan-fry until browned and cooked through.
5️⃣ Serve burgers on toasted ciabatta rolls with rocket and a generous dollop of relish. Add those golden sweet potato chips on the side!
💡 Tip: Mix in butternut or potatoes for a tasty twist on your chips!
