Here at Birkenhead Brewery we are brewing our b**r using the energy from the sun. Our investment in solar panels has been a great success and it's wonderful to see the oldest brewery in S.A. once again leading the way in microbrewing. **rtastings

Celebrating Heritage.
Did you know that Birkenhead Brewery is officially the oldest craft brewery still in existence in South Africa?
And if that isn’t special enough, our incredible brewer Benson has been with us from the very beginning! Through every brew, every pint and every chapter of our journey, he’s been part of the Birkenhead story.
Years of brewing. Years of passion. Years of doing what we love. ❤️🍺 **rtasting **rlife

When it comes to brewing great b**r, water really matters.

B**r is, after all, made up mostly of water. The mineral content, character and quality of the water can have a significant influence on how a b**r tastes, how it ferments and ultimately the character of the finished pint.

That’s why we’re proud to use our own natural water source as part of the brewing process. It gives the b**r a genuine connection to the land, from the spring beneath our feet to the pint in your glass.
If you like good b**r then visit Birkenhead Brewery at Walker Bay Estate Stanford R326.
