The rows of Nico Velo concrete tanks are a familiar sight during harvest and fermentation, but it is often the play of light and shadow throughout the space that catches our attention. Designed to be both functional and beautiful, the cellar reflects the same thoughtful approach that guides our w**emaking.

AL FRESCO ON THE HELDERBERG

Some meals are best enjoyed outdoors.

With summer on the horizon, our terrace becomes one of our favourite places to linger over lunch, a glass of w**e and the views across the Helderberg. On this occasion, a seasonal salad paired with our Big Easy Chenin Blanc made for an especially refreshing combination.

As always, our menu changes daily according to the finest ingredients available, ensuring that no two visits are quite the same.

Cabernet Sauvignon is not always what people expect.

In the Big Easy Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé it brings structure, texture and length, with a short period in older French oak adding a subtle creaminess to the palate. A touch of Cinsault completes the blend, contributing the vibrant fruit character that makes the w**e so inviting.

The result is a rosé that is both refreshing and layered, showing a different side of Cabernet Sauvignon on the Helderberg.

THE CHILLI SHED

Tucked away at the foot of the estate, The Chilli Shed has become a favourite stop for cyclists, hikers and visitors exploring the Ernie Els x Alto trail.

With our Signature House Blend, crafted exclusively for us by Deluxe Coffee Works, alongside a selection of freshly prepared pastries and light café fare, it is the perfect place to pause and take in the surroundings.

Set amongst chilli plants, fynbos and seasonal produce grown on the estate, The Chilli Shed offers a quieter side of the farm and a different way to experience Ernie Els W**es.

Open daily from 08h00 to 16h00. Bookings are not required.
