Some women entered a room. Lady Alice started a party.

As the wife of a senator, Lady Alice Sarah Stanford rubbed shoulders with ministers, dined at Tuinhuis, hosted balls and, by all accounts, had a habit of turning every event she attended into a dance party. From lawn tennis and hunting to fancy dress, life at Muratie became a decidedly festive affair after she bought the estate in 1909.

It feels only fitting that the wine bearing her name should sparkle too.
