Bookings are now open for Olive, our retro caravan in the vineyard. Starting from 1 July. (We still have a few things to do 🫣) We’re offering a 50% winter special to kick things off: R750 per night minimum 2 night stay for July and August. Can’t believe we’re onto our second month of our Friday Vintage Lunches with chef Louise. We’ve confirmed and trialed the May Menu as follows:
Asian Omelette Wraps with asparagus and smoked trout
Chenin Blanc 2017
Just starting to get some honeyed richness from a little age.
Skin Macerated Chenin Blanc 2022
The bolder more adventurous choice, but you’ll get both to enjoy with your starter.
Free range beef ribeye kebabs on the braai with masala butter sauce (a delicious recipe) along with some vibrant salads and baby potatoes
We’re looking at the lighter, red berry vintage of 2014 along with the big, brooding dark fruited 2015 to go with the hearty main course.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 and 2015
Elevation 393 2014 and 2015
All four wines enjoyed at your leisure with your meal.
Straw Wine 2020 will be the sweet treat to finish off your long Friday lunch. Jade, Hendry or David will present the wines. Limited to a total of 12 guests.

We don’t always have the best weather at this time of the year, but the light can be most beautiful, the air crisp and refreshing and the autumn colours starting. A great time to visit us in the mountains. Open during the week by appointment and open every Saturday between 10.00am and 3.00pm. Jade, Hendry or David will welcome you and pour our handcrafted wines.

This Friday will be the first of our Vintage Friday Lunches. Chef Louise has joined our team and will prepare something delicious to go with some of our vintage wines. This month we will be pouring our Chenin Blanc 2014, Chenin Blanc Reserva 2021, Syrah 393 2021 and 2014, Elevation 393 2018 and 2012 as well as other current wines available and ending off with our delicious Straw Wine 2020. Jade will present the wines most of the time otherwise Hendry or David will step in. To book your spot go to our website - link in bio. Limited to 12 guests in total. This Friday we’re full, but bookings are open for the next three months.

Many wines and other products are described as “handcrafted”, but most seldom are. It’s a concept at the heart of our wines. draining and pressing a little batch of Syrah from our Triangle Block, stock-by-paaltie vineyard. Almost two months on the skins in a clay amphora. Tasting sooo delicious already.

Heads up to our customers on our mailing list. We’re releasing our Chenin Blanc 2024 complete with beautiful new label. Keep an eye on your inbox tomorrow morning. In addition we have an old vine, single vineyard bottling called S16. The name not quite as creative as the beautiful drawing by our daughter, (Some of our customers may remember this label from a single vineyard Chenin Blanc from the 2017 vintage) We bottled four different vineyards as single vineyard wines in 2025, to showcase these great blocks, but I feel the blend is that little more complete and complex. We have been committed to Chenin Blanc since our first vintage in 1995. We also produce a Reserva, almost two years in barrel, a Skin Macerated and our Straw Wine - the first producer in South Africa.
