A look back, while the vineyard looks forward.

This moment was captured during our 2026 harvest, when months of work in the vineyard finally made their way into the cellar.

Now, the vines are waking up again. New shoots and fresh leaves are appearing, and with them begins the journey towards our 2027 harvest.

One vintage may be behind us, but the next is already taking shape, all so we can bring you another vintage of Overgaauw to enjoy.

Those faded markings date back to 1980, when this restored vat was brought to the farm by previous generations of the Van Velden family and used for ageing Merlot.
