Mooiplaas Wine Estate and Private Nature Reserve boasts a pristine natural beauty. The Roos family has owned and managed the farm for three generations. Awarded Conservation Champion status by the WWF in 2020 for our efforts in conservation and sustainable farming, we strongly believe in farming with nature, not against it. Enjoy a wine tasting in the two-centuries old stables (we do sweep it occa

sionally). Book a picnic in the dappled sunlight and flowered lawns of the old gardens (sufferers of hay-fever, beware). Don your hats and bring your binoculars for our challenging five-and-a-half kilometre hike (a bird-watchers paradise).

⏰ Relaxed Run starts anytime between 7am and 9am

🏃‍♀️ 5km Runners
This is the perfect “I can do this” route.

You start with a steady uphill climb that gets easier and easier as you go. Take it slow and steady and you’ll surprise yourself with how manageable it feels.

And at the top?

A breathtaking view over the vineyards and mountains.
(Assuming the hill hasn’t already taken your breath away first.)

Push hard and it becomes a workout.
Take your time and it becomes an adventure.

🏃‍♂️ 10km Runners
Now we’re talking.

The first 4km is a long steady climb. Not brutally steep… just relentless enough to quietly drain the strength from your legs if you go out too hard.

This is the kind of route that rewards smart runners.

Control your effort. Find your rhythm. Keep climbing.

You’re going to love this run.

Our favourite wines from each range when the weather is cold!

1. Pinotage - classic, medium bodied and velvety. I’ll warm you up nicely!
2. The Roselind - Elegant, full of flavour but balanced with cherry, fynbos and plums. This is wine for impressing!
3. The Coco - imagine the feeling of sipping on a cup of chocolately coffee, but it’s wine. Thats what we were after with this Merlot.
