We are a proud family run Stellenbosch Wine Farm at the foot of the majestic Helderberg, in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Vineyards are planted, predominantly, on the northern slopes of the farm and comprise two main cultivars: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot feature as well. Maritime breezes in the early afternoon greatly influence the ripening process and the gr

apes are harvested as long as three weeks later than they are in Stellenbosch, a short distance away. The cellar was built in 1993, but greatly modernised four years later. The barrels, of French oak, are kept underground to allow for gravity-feeding and the cellar can house up to 800 of these containers, each with a capacity of 225 litres. All three red wines produced at Yonder Hill - the Nicola, Inanda and Merlot - are matured here.

Nestled in the heart of the Cape W**elands, our Olive Cottage is where slow mornings, vineyard views and true farm-style luxury come together.

This quaint three bedroom cottage offers en suite rooms, a cozy lounge with an indoor fireplace, and an open plan kitchen that flows onto a peaceful patio overlooking the Helderberg.

Few sights are as striking as the Benella Ankoles roaming the farm.

Their elegance, their history, and their gentle nature make every tasting feel a little more special.

Tasting Note Thursday – Nicola Cabernet Sauvignon

The w**e is showing aromas of juicy dark fruit with a subtle but pleasant floral note.

Complex and well-structured, this w**e is drinking beautifully now but it will only improve over the next 5-10 years.

Before a w**e becomes a favourite at your table, it begins as a single grape on the vine - shaped by sunlight, soil, and careful hands.

The colour, aroma, and texture you enjoy all come from how that grape was grown. At Yonder Hill W**es, we prioritise vineyard health, gentle farming, and thoughtful picking so every bottle reflects purity, balance, and honest flavour.

Please note: our tasting room is closed today for the public holiday, but we look forward to welcoming you back tomorrow.
