Jancis Robinson - the woman who has shaped how the world understands wine - tasted our Sonop Chenin Blanc and we feel honoured to share her feedback.
•
She scored it 17.5/20 and called it “a really serious, layered wine with a great future.”
Gabriël made this wine from two blocks of bush vines that our family has grown since 1982. Our grandfather farmed this same hill, and our father still walks these rows daily

We are a vigneron family. We grow grapes. We did not set out to impress the world - we set out to honour the land. And somehow, the land spoke loudly enough for Jancis Robinson to hear it.

Over the past few weeks - we sent out the first batches of 2025 Sonop Chenin Blanc. Time flies and you don’t realise the incredible moments in between the chaos of launching a new vintage. To sit and label some of these before we launched, reminded us about the privilege we have to do what we do. To work with the people around us, and to make wine that celebrates the land, the hands, and the vines.
