β’ 1 medium onion, finely chopped
β’ 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
β’ 1 tsp paprika
β’ 1 tsp salt, or to taste
β’ Β½ tsp black pepper
β’ 2 tbsp olive oil
β’ 500g tomato pasta sauce

β’ 1 pack mozzarella slices
β’ β

METHOD
1οΈβ£ Mix the mince, breadcrumbs, egg, half the garlic, herbs, paprika, salt and pepper. Roll into medium meatballs.
2οΈβ£ Heat the oil in a large pan. Brown the meatballs on all sides, then remove and set aside.
3οΈβ£ Fry the onion in the same pan until soft. Add the remaining garlic and tomato paste; cook for 1 minute.
4οΈβ£ Stir in the pasta sauce and optional sugar. Return the meatballs, cover and simmer for 12β15 minutes, or until cooked through and the sauce thickens.
5οΈβ£ Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain.
6οΈβ£ Cut mozzarella slices into little ghost shapes and place on the hot meatballs to soften. Add tiny olive pieces for eyes and mouths.
7οΈβ£ Serve over spaghetti with the sauce and a sprinkle of basil or parsley.
Let the kids help decorate the cheese ghosts on a cool plate while the grown-ups handle the cooking! π¨βπ³π
