Last harvest photo on Wednesday as we picked our Assyrtiko. The immediate relief knowing that the vintage is off the land and safely in the Cellar.

Little did I know that 2 hours after this photo I would be kicked in the back by one of our horses, rupturing my spleen and undergoing an emergency operation. Luckily made it to hospital in time. Praise be to God and of course my amazing wife for looking after me.

Lying here in ICU I feel blessed for all your thoughts and prayers. Happy that it happened at the END of harvest.
Im excited to share the new vintage with you all soon!

Slangbos (Seriphium plumosum) is an endemic fynbos plant found growing in many of our vineyards, with a unique spicy, herbaceous scent.

Its name directly translates to “snake bush” for obvious reasons.
