🌷 BLACKWOOD’S OPEN GARDENS 2026

Join us on Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 October as we open our gardens for a beautiful weekend in the Caversham Valley. Open Gardens and Events of South Africa Blackwood's
Wander through our working herb farm, enjoy free guided tours, discover our organically grown medicinal, culinary and ornamental herbs, and browse our onsite nursery.

Twenty-nine years ago, on 21 June 1997, our family left the heat of Phalaborwa for the frosty KwaZulu-Natal Midlands in search of a different way of life—one that gave us more time together and the chance to build something meaningful.

What began as a dream grew into Peter's Gate Herb Farm. The name, inspired by our beautiful view over the Caversham Valley, implies a glimpse over heaven. Along the way we've grown thousands of herbs, welcomed wonderfully supportive visitors, turned customers into friends, and even shared the farm with some unforgettable characters—including Wimbledon, the strawberry-loving grey duiker!

To celebrate 29 wonderful years and the most supportive customers we're giving away a special gift! A R1000 gift voucher to spend on product and plants.
