As we welcome new followers to our growing community, we’d love for you to get to know the incredible couple behind it all — Geoff and Karen.

Back in June 1997, Geoff and Karen packed up their life in Phalaborwa and made the big move to the beautiful Kwa-Zulu-Natal Midlands. Geoff left his job as a financial manager at the mines, and Karen stepped away from teaching pre-school, all with one shared dream: to create a life that was closer to nature, family-centred, and full of purpose.

What started as a family adventure quickly grew into something much bigger. Together they nurtured their piece of land into what would become Peter’s Gate Herb Farm — a place rooted in organic living, ecological care and genuine love for natural herbs.

Opening Peter’s Gate Herbal Centre in 2004, their passion for natural living and the herbal experience continues to inspire everything we do here.
