💔 Goodbye, our beautiful little Roxy.
There are some dogs who become pets.
Then there are dogs who become part of your family, your work, your dreams... and your story.
For the past five years, Roxy was our constant companion. She went everywhere with us—restaurants, markets, guest houses, shops, church, and countless Keurkloof Pantry events. Wherever we went, she went.
She had an extraordinary gift. She didn't have to perform tricks or demand attention. She simply sat there, looking impossibly cute, and people couldn't resist coming over to say hello. Time and again, strangers became customers, customers became friends, and so many conversations began because of one tiny little Pomeranian with the sweetest face.
She became an unofficial ambassador for both Keurkloof Pantry and Keurkloof Valley Farm. Thousands of people met her over the years, and she brought smiles wherever she went.
On Sunday night, we had to say goodbye after renal failure took its toll. Our hearts are shattered, but we are deeply grateful that she is no longer suffering.
The house feels quieter.
The car seat beside us is empty.
Our market stall won't quite be the same.
And there is a little space in our hearts that can never be filled.
Thank you, precious Roxy, for every cuddle, every road trip, every church service, every market day, every guest you greeted, every smile you brought, and every memory you gave us.
You were tiny...
but the place you leave behind is enormous.
Run free, our little girl.
You will forever be part of Keurkloof, and forever part of us. ❤️🐾
