Harvesting Aloe ferox in one of our Aloe plots today. The lower leaves of the Aloe are cut off and stacked in a circular tower to allow for the bitter sap to seep out of the leaves. The sap is collected at the bottom and then cooked over fire for hours until it crystallizes. The rest of the leaf is then processed into Aloe fillet and Aloe leaf powder - nothing goes to waste!
