To create within people a sense of respect for themselves and the world in which they live, love and grow. This can be achieved by fostering hope and love within in ourselves, seeing ourselves as part of our world and environment,
not just in the world but of the world
We need to provide people with hope for their future, love for their world and everything that resides in it. It is with this idea in mind that we established Forest Friends. The creation of the guardians of our world start with each of us
Forest Friends was founded in 2013 by Louis and Nadine Kuys and inspired by nature. We Grow Aquaponically (The future of Farming)
What is Aquaponics? It is the future of farming: A natural process which mimics lakes, ponds and rivers on earth. It is a combination of aquaculture (raising fish or other aquatic animals) and hydroponics (growing fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers without soil). From the fish tanks, fish waste is piped or pumped into hydroponic grow beds where plants or other food crops absorb the nutrients, cleans and purifies the water and returns back to the fish tanks. In a rivers where fish waste products are swept away and replaced with clean water this is what we are achieving in aquaponics a more natural process. We are inspired by nature.
