Some awards are placed on a shelf. Others carry the weight of every early morning, every late night, every sacrifice, every difficult day, and every person who refused to settle for anything less than their best.

Being recognised as one of the Cleaver Award winners for Best Butchery is something we are incredibly proud of but this achievement belongs to far more than the two people standing in this photograph.

It belongs to the entire Roots Mannys team. To our management who carry the responsibility every day. To our blockmen, production teams, merchandisers, cashiers, cleaners and every person behind the scenes whose hands and hearts have helped build this store.

Roots Mannys Welkom 2 was built with passion. There has been sweat behind these walls. There have been sacrifices, pressure, long days and even tears all driven by one simple obsession: to become better every single day and to give our customers a store they can truly be proud to call theirs.

And most importantly, this award belongs to you, our community.

To every person who voted for us, supported us, walked through our doors, filled a trolley, bought from our butchery, recommended us to someone else, or simply continued believing in what we are trying to build, thank you.

We don’t chase excellence simply for awards. We chase it because the people who choose to spend their hard earned money with us deserve our very best. This recognition is simply a reminder that the passion being poured into this store is being felt by the people we do it for.
