Valley Spices Sweet Sticky Pineapple Pork Ribs ππ
A simple, foolproof recipe that gives you tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs with a sweet, sticky glaze.
Ingredients
1.5β2kg pork ribs
1 cup Valley Spices Pineapple Stir Fry Sauce
2 tbsp Valley Spices Braai Salt Rub
2 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for extra caramelization)
Β½ cup water
Method
1. Season the ribs
Rub the ribs generously with Valley Spices Braai Salt Rub.
Place in a baking dish.
2. Slow cook
Add Β½ cup water to the dish.
Cover tightly with foil.
Bake at 160Β°C for 2Β½β3 hours until the meat is very tender.
3. Make them sticky
Remove the foil.
Brush generously with Valley Spices Pineapple Stir Fry Sauce.
Sprinkle lightly with brown sugar if using.
4. Caramelize
Increase oven temperature to 220Β°C.
Bake uncovered for 15β20 minutes, basting once or twice with more sauce.
The sauce should become thick, glossy, and sticky.
5. Serve
Let rest for 5 minutes.
Slice and serve with chips, potato salad, coleslaw, or grilled corn.
