Before the kitchen, before the vans, before the freezers...

There was Emma’s home.

Six years ago, Happy Hounds began with a stove, a pack of rescues, Jessie, Squirrel, Bindy, and a simple belief: dogs deserve food that helps them live healthier, happier, longer lives. 🐕💚

What started as meals cooked for her own dogs soon became meals for friends’ dogs, then neighbours’ dogs, and eventually thousands of dogs. 🐾

This little video is a look back at where it all began and how far we’ve come. 🧡

Thank you to every pack member who has been part of the journey, whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or joined along the way. 🐕

Finch, our Marketing Assistant, is celebrating her 5-year adoptaversary today 💚

Five years of endless bum wags, the softest fur, and a whole lot of heart. She came into our lives and has been the best supermodel, taste tester, and marketing assistant. Many of you may recognise her from the HH delivery van.

Always willing to do a trick for a treat, well trained (even when snacks are not involved), and permanently ready for an adventure. 🐕😎

A special thank you to and Kerry for bringing her into our lives.

As it’s our birthday month, it only felt fitting to bring back a legendary recipe for this month’s feast.

LAMB & VENISON has returned. 🎉

One of our very first Happy Hounds recipes, and more than two years later, we still get asked about it. 💚

A pack favourite. An OG. The best of two flavourful worlds.

We’re genuinely excited to see this one back in bowls. The office may or may not have done a little happy dance. 💃 🕺 😜

If your hound has had it before, you’ll know exactly why it’s so loved. And if they’re trying it for the first time, they’re in for something special. ✨

We’ve only been able to make a small batch, so run, don’t sniff… zoomies encouraged.🐾

Meet the first of the cookie crew: Steakhouse Cookies. 🍪

Think classic choc chip cookie energy… but make it steak. 🥩

Big crunch. Big flavour. Bigger tail wags.

Handmade in small batches with human-grade ingredients and plenty of tail-wagging approval. Even Andreas, our nutritionist, snacks on them himself because if it’s not good enough for us, it’s not good enough for your hounds. 💚

You already got a small hint last week… and let’s just say the excitement in the HH office has not died down.

Today is Rescue Dog Day, and we could not let it pass without celebrating some very special rescue souls close to our hearts. 🤍

Squirrel, Quitie and Bindy have brought so much light, companionship, joy and belly laughs into all of our lives at Happy Hounds. They have been there through so many chapters, challenges and beautiful moments along the way.

They are a huge part of the heart behind Happy Hounds, alongside our beautiful Jessie, who will always be part of our story and forever missed. 🌸

Rescue dogs have a way of changing lives in the most beautiful and unexpected ways. 🐕🩵

We have been quietly working on something we are genuinely so excited about. It is new territory for us, and it has been a long time in the making.

It is a foodie item we have wanted to add to our range for a while now, made with human-grade ingredients and the same love and care that goes into everything we do. 💚

They are very moreish, and the HH office pack cannot get enough. Not only are the hounds loving them, but Andreas (our nutritionist) has too. Let’s just say he has been enjoying a few extra snacks lately. 😄
