THE TORTOISE AND THE HORSE

A Short Moral Story.

Once upon a time, the animal kingdom suffered a terrible famine. One day, a horse went to a tortoise and said.

"I know a place where there is enough food. It's a secret garden, and I'm the only one in the world who knows about it. This garden has vegetables, garden herbs, delicious grasses and a lot trees bearing fresh fruits. I'm sure you want to know where this secret garden is."

The tortoise exclaimed.
"You are a good fellow! Come on, tell me where to find this secret garden. I will be there within an hour to eat heavily and bring food for my family."

The horse smiled and grunted.
"All right, I'll tell you, but on one condition."

The tortoise asked.
"And what condition is that?."

The horse responded.
"Share your weakness with me. Don't be afraid, I'm not going to use it against you. If you can expose your weakness to me, I'll show you where you can find this wonderful garden that grows food in abundance."

The tortoise thought for a moment and said.
"Okay, fine. My weakness is oil. If oil touches my shell, I'll become very uncomfortable and won't be able to hide inside my shell. With that, predators can easily attack me"

Upon hearing that, the horse smiled and asked to go check something, then left. But he returned shortly with two big and hungry lions and a bowl of oil. Then, at that moment, he told the lions.

"Pour the oil over the tortoise and rub it all over on his shell. It will prevent him from hiding under his shell. Then you can feast on him and pay me the money we agreed upon. Tortoise, tortoise, tortoise... I can't believe how dumb you are. You made a worse mistake when you told me your weakness. Little did you know I was going to use it against you. And you were so foolish to even think that the secret garden was real. Hmm!."

Fable: DON'T ARGUE WITH DONKEYS

The donkey said to the tiger:

- "The grass is blue".

The tiger replied:

- "No, the grass is green."

The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit him to arbitration, and for this they went before the lion, the King of the Jungle.

Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout:

- "His Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?".

The lion replied:

- "True, the grass is blue."

The donkey hurried and continued:

- "The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him."

The king then declared:

- "The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence."

The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating:

- "The Grass Is Blue"...

The tiger accepted his punishment, but before he asked the lion:

- "Your Majesty, why have you punished me?, after all, the grass is green."

The lion replied:

- "In fact, the grass is green."

The tiger asked:
- "So why are you punishing me?".

The lion replied:

- "That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green.

The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave and intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that come and bother me with that question."

The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense...

There are people who, no matter how much evidence and evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.

When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more. ❤️

THE WISE COCKROACH
A Short Moral Story.

Three hungry cockroaches came to a farmer and asked him for food. He willingly offered them some bread and some cheese. They ate to satisfaction and saved food to take home to their families.

Upon leaving, the farmer told them,
"Listen roaches, instead of begging for food as you always do, why don't I offer you a job in my farm? We offer good pay, food, and protection for your families."

The cockroaches asked,
"What work do we have to do, and how much salary do we get?"

The farmer answered,
"There are four positions available in my farm, with each having a different pay. It's up to you to choose which of them you prefer! The worker whose job is to inform my chickens that food is ready gets paid $3,000 every month. The worker whose job is to peel and slice my garlic gets $5,000 monthly. The worker whose job is to chase pesky lizards out of the farm gets $4,000 every month. And lastly, the worker whose job is to sing and dance for my goats gets only $250 monthly. You can make your choice now!"

The first cockroach exclaimed,
"I choose the $5,000 job! I want to peel and slice your garlic!"

The second cockroach chorused,
"I want the $4,000 job! Let me chase the pesky lizards out of the farm!

The third cockroach thought for a long moment, then said surprisingly,
"I would prefer the $250 job! I want to sing and dance for your goats!"

For a moment, the two other cockroaches glared at her and thought she was very dumb.
"How could she have chosen the lowest paying job in the farm? Is she that silly and unreasonable?" they thought within themselves.

The following morning, the three cockroaches arrived for their first day of work. However, as they began their duties, the first and the second cockroaches died all of a sudden.

The curious farmer then called the third cockroach and asked,
"Tell me, why did you choose the lowest paying job?"

She took a deep breath and answered,

*The Little Bird's Honest Mistake*

One sunny day, a little bird named Luna found a shiny coin on the ground. She picked it up and thought, "Wow! I'm so lucky!"

As she flew back to her nest, she met her friend, a squirrel named Squeaky. Squeaky asked Luna where she got the coin. Luna didn't want to share, so she said, "I found it in my nest."

But Luna felt bad for lying. She couldn't sleep that night, thinking about what she had done.

The next day, Luna went to Squeaky and said, "I have something important to tell you. I didn't find the coin in my nest. I found it on the ground."

Squeaky was proud of Luna for telling the truth. "You're an honest bird, Luna!" he said.

Just then, a rabbit approached them. "I lost a shiny coin yesterday. Is this it?" she asked.

Luna returned the coin to its rightful owner. The rabbit thanked her and gave her a big hug.

Luna learned that honesty is always the best choice, even if it's hard. And from then on, she always told the truth, no matter what.

A TRUE LIFE STORY!!!

I PITIED MY OLD CLASSMATE🥹🥹

I met an old class mate, we had not seen each other for about 30 years.

When I saw him again, this time at a hotel lobby, he was looking simple. He wore simple clothes. I felt touched.

He walked up to me and was glad to see me again. But deep within me I was not impressed with his status compared to mine and poor me, I couldn't hide it.

We exchanged contact details and I could see the joy in him as he collected mine.

I told him I would drop him home in my brand new Range Rover and I pointed it to him. He declined and said he had already called for his car. It looked old, a 2001 Honda Accord.

I invited him the next day for lunch at my house. A part of me wanted to impress him, to show off my success and affluence to him; while another was to discuss opportunities and possibly help him.

He drove to Parkview where I lived. He looked impressed with my home. I had taken a heavy mortgage. In fact, I was heavily in debt. We had lunch. He told me he was into small business and particularly real Estate. I brought up more business discussions, but he didn't sound too interested. I asked him how I could help him. He said he was fine. I even told him if he was interested, I could help him secure some loans. He looked at me and smiled.

He told me he would invite me over soon to his place. His old car came for him. I was grateful to God for what I had.“Fingers are not all equal" I thought to myself. I was lucky. I worked in a good place.

Two weeks later, my wife and I went to see him in a remote area. Initially, my wife was reluctant to go because she was not impressed with the man's status as to warrant our visiting him in his house.

I was able to convince her that we were close friends in College.

We saw the Estate. We asked for directions to his home. Those leading us spoke his name with deference.

Two men at a bus stop started a conversation.

One of them kept complaining about his family problems.

Finally, the other man said,

"You think you have family problems? Listen to my situation…

A few years ago, I met a young widow with a grown-up daughter, and we got married. Later, my dad married my stepdaughter. That made my stepdaughter my stepmother, and my dad became my stepson-in-law. Also, my wife became the mother-in-law to her own father-in-law.

Then, my wife's daughter—now my stepmother—had a son. This boy was my half-brother because he was my dad's son, but he was also the son of my wife's daughter, which made him my wife's grandson.

That made me the grandfather of my half-brother. But it didn't end there. My wife and I later had a son.

Now, the half-sister of my son—my stepmother—is also his grandmother. My dad is the brother-in-law of my child, who is the stepbrother of my dad's wife!"

🐀LESSON FOR MANY🐀
A mouse, looking through a hole in the wall, sees the farmer and his wife open a package. He was terrified to see that it was a mousetrap. He ran to the patio to warn everyone.

-"There is a mousetrap at home!".
The chicken that was cackling and digging says: "excuse me, Mr. Mouse, I understand that it is a big problem for you, but it does not hurt me at all."

So, the rodent went to the lamb and he says the same thing: "Excuse me Mr. Mouse, but I don't think I can do more than ask for you in my prayers."
The mouse went to the cow and she said: "But am I in danger? I think not!" said the cow.
The mouse returned to the house, worried and dejected to face the farmer's mousetrap.

That night a great noise was heard like that of the mousetrap catching its victim, the woman ran to see what she had caught.
In the dark she did not see that the mousetrap caught the tail of a poisonous snake.
The speedy snake bit the woman, the farmer immediately took her to the hospital, she came back with a high fever.

The farmer to comfort her prepared a nutritious soup, grabbed the knife and went to find the main ingredient: the chicken; Since the woman did not get better, friends and neighbors went to visit them, the farmer killed the lamb to feed them, the woman did not get better and died.
And in the end, the husband sold the cow to the slaughterhouse to cover the funeral expenses.

The next time someone tells you about their problem and you think that it doesn't affect you because it's not yours and you don't pay attention to it, think twice, “he who doesn't live to serve, doesn't serve to live”.

The world is not going badly because of the wickedness of the bad, but because of the apathy of the good.
So when someone needs you for their problems, give them your hand or give them a word of encouragement.

THE STUBBORN FOX

A Short Moral Story.

There was a fox who was fond of throwing stones into the market place. He literally went around the village, picking up small stones, and tossing them high into the air towards the market place - where animals came to buy and sell.

Infuriated by this act, the animals in the market would throw temper tantrums and scream at him,
"Stop throwing those, you can hurt somebody! It's quite dangerous to throw stones into a public place! You have to stop this silly act of yours!"

However, the strong-headed fox didn't listen to the warnings, and his stubbornness grew day by day. He was a constant source of trouble to the animals in the village. He went from one thing to the next. He would throw more stones, laugh and run away, leaving everyone frustrated and annoyed.

One day, the fox was out throwing stones into the market place. He took out a stone and slung it, and it suddenly struck the chest of an old animal, killing her on the spot. All the others ran after him, caught him by the arm, and took him to the lion king.

At the king's palace, the animals spoke to the king with anger and rage,
"Punish him! We warned him, but he wouldn't listen! Now he killed an innocent old creature! He must face the consequences!"

The king took a rasping breath and said,
"Yes, I will punish him severely! I will teach him a lesson he won't forget so quick! But first, I need to speak with his mother! Bring me his mother!"

A donkey grunted,
"I saw the victim clearly and she was his mother! It was on his mother's chest that the stone landed!"

All the animals were surprised and swept off their feet. The fox fainted upon realizing that he had killed his own mother.

MORAL LESSONS:

When you do something or act in a manner that will very likely result in trouble, difficulty, or danger, you could be on the receiving end. Do not only look out for your interest, but consider the things of others too. Don't be headstrong and resistant to change. Too often,

A Story With A Valuable Lesson.

There was a boy who was always happy and cheerful. One day, he went to an old man and asked him,
"Sir, what is the biggest destroyer of happiness? I have a happy nature and I'm chatting and laughing most of the time. However, I fear that one day, I'll become sad and sorrowful. Tell me how to stay happy and positive everyday."

The old man thought for a moment, then nodded and said,
"Alright, I'll tell you what you want to know. But before I tell you, you have to agree to do something for me."

The boy asked, smiling at his serious face,
"Okay, sir, what is it?"

The old man answered,
"There's an empty drum in my backyard, I want you to fill it up with water. I'm too old and weak to fetch water from the river. If you do that, I'll reward you with two coins. Two coins, all for you, boy!"

The boy was suddenly filled with excitement and enthusiasm as he was in great need of money. He grabbed a bucket and hurried down the stream to fetch the water. A short while later, he went back to the old man and told him he had filled the drum with water.

However, the old man said,
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, there is another empty drum in my kitchen. Would you mind filling it up as well? I'll offer you another two coins as a reward, a total of four coins! You'll buy a lot of things for yourself with all that money. Four coins, all for you, boy!"

The boy was so determined to get the four coins, he didn't think twice about it. He quickly took the bucket and rushed down the stream. In no time, he had already filled the drum with water. However, when he returned to the old man, he said,

"Oh my goodness, I'm such a forgetful old man! I forgot that there is another empty drum in my garden. If you can fill it up with water too, I'll add extra two coins to your money and you'll get six coins altogether. You'll have a lot of money for yourself. Six coins, all for you, boy!"
