If you are waiting for me to tell you to sprinkle baking powder on your cake after the cake has finished baking, then sorry o... your faith is bigger than mine. 😂

Baking powder is not cream filling that you can inject later. Once the cake is baked without it, the cake has already made its decision. The options left are simple:
✅ Eat it as it is if the texture is still acceptable.
✅ Turn it into cake pops, parfaits, trifles, or crumbs.
✅ Or respectfully send it to the "lessons learned" department and bake another one. 😅

How to avoid this costly mistake:
✔ Read through your recipe before you start.
✔ Measure and arrange all ingredients before mixing (mise en place).
✔ Tick off ingredients as you add them.
✔ Avoid distractions, phone calls, and unnecessary gist while mixing.
✔ Develop a consistent mixing routine and stick to it.
Bakers, forgetting baking powder is one mistake that can turn an expensive cake into an expensive experiment.

5 Cake Tips Every Baker Should Keep in Their Back Pocket* 🎂

Baking a cake that looks good _and_ tastes amazing isn’t luck - it’s the little things. If you’re baking for orders, family, or just for fun, try these:

1. Room temp ingredients = smoother batter
Eggs, butter, and milk at room temp mix better and give you a fluffier crumb. Cold ingredients can cause lumps and uneven baking.

2. Don’t skip the “tap & settle"
Once your batter’s in the pan, tap it gently on the counter 2-3 times. It pops air bubbles and gives you a flatter, more even top.

3. Trust your oven, not just the timer
Every oven runs hot or cool. Start checking 5 mins before the recipe time with a toothpick. If it comes out with a few moist crumbs, it’s done.

4. Cool cakes completely before frosting
I know it’s tempting to frost while it’s warm 😅 but a warm cake = melted frosting and sliding layers. Let it cool at least 1-2 hours.

5. Crumb coat is your friend
A thin layer of frosting to seal in crumbs before the final layer makes your cake look clean and professional, even if you’re self-taught.

Baking is practice + patience. Every cake makes you better than the last.
