During the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 farming season, one of our farmers pictured below cultivated less than a lima of chili. But through dedication, learning, and applying the right farming practices, the same farmer has expanded production to more than 2 limas of chili in the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 farming season.

This is more than just an increase in field size, it is a reflection of growth in mindset, confidence, and vision.

At Hematon, we believe that when farmers are equipped with the right knowledge, support, and systems, they begin to see farming differently, as a 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 with the power to transform lives and communities.

With the support of FQM Zambia's Trident Foundation Limited, farmers in Kalumbila have continued to grow, transform their farming activities, and achieve results that inspire entire communities. Their journey is a reminder that when farmers are equipped with the right knowledge, support, and tools, they can accomplish incredible things.

During one of our recent routine monitoring visits, we received a powerful video from one of the farmers supported by Caritas Czech Republic in Zambia and it beautifully reflects this truth.

What we saw was more than just a field.
It was commitment. It was growth. It was transformation.

From the way the crops are managed to the visible progress on the ground, it is clear that when farmers are equipped with the right knowledge, tools, and support, their fields begin to tell a story of success.

Financial literacy is more than understanding money. it is about 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

In agriculture, many farmers work incredibly hard in their fields but often struggle to clearly understand the financial performance of their farms. Without proper records, it becomes difficult to track profits, manage costs, or access financing.

At Hematon, we believe that 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. That is why we go beyond training farmers. We provide 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 that help farmers practically apply the knowledge they gain.
