What started as a hive for bold ideas has grown into a thriving ecosystem buzzing with founders, dreamers, technologists, and change makers shaping the future from Zambia to the world.
Our journey at Green Giraffe Zambia Limited is part of that story. From starting as a bold idea during Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa - AICCRA aninnovation challenge, to building decadent ready-to-eat snacks from locally sourced ingredients, and now expanding into farm-to-shelf traceability and AI-powered technology through Jiraffe — the journey has been one of constant growth, learning, and reinvention.
Through BongoHive programmes Standard Chartered Zambia Women in Tech-Zambia mentorship, and ecosystem support Zambia Business Angels Network , we gained more than opportunities. We gained clarity, resilience, community, and the confidence to keep building boldly.
Africa — and the world — still faces enormous challenges across food systems, climate, technology, and opportunity. But these challenges also demand solutions built by people who understand them deeply. As African founders, innovators, and builders, we are uniquely qualified to solve many of these problems because we live closest to them. And with that comes a responsibility — not just to participate in the future, but to actively build it.
