All things Chili

If you're not sure about chili farming, start with ABE. You can dry it and store it while waiting for a better market.

If you want quick and consistent income, grow Chili Mbuzi in large numbers. Even when chili is selling for as little as K20 per meda, you can still make money if you're producing 100 medas every week.

The biggest mistake many farmers make is growing too little.

Production volume matters.

This is from our experience! Not a fact!

🌶️ Frequently Asked Chili Questions on our page

1. Which is the most profitable chili: ABE, Habanero, or Cayenne?

None is automatically more profitable than the other. Profitability depends on market demand and who you're growing for.

2. Where do you sell your chili?

Over the past five years, we have built a strong clientele and established long-term customers who buy from us regularly.

Besides that, markets such as Soweto and many others will always buy chili. The price may not always be what you want, but you will almost certainly find a buyer.

3. Is chili profitable?

Yes, but profitability depends on three things:

âś… Knowing your target market

* Manufacturing industries
* Export markets
* Private clients
* Open markets such as Soweto and Kasumbalesa

âś… Knowing how to grow and manage the crop**

* Minimizing production costs
* Proper crop management
* Disease and pest control

âś… Growing in numbers

* A hectare or more for good yields

Next time, we'll look at more frequently asked questions.

Have a productive and blessed weekend, farmers.

All things chili 🌶️

Chili farming is a game of patience, planning, and persistence. While today's harvest heads to market, tomorrow's harvest is already growing in the field.

With chili now fetching K150 per meda at farm-gate price, the rewards are there for those willing to put in the work and stay consistent.

One harvest ends, another begins. Keep planting, keep nurturing, keep harvesting.
Consistency is what turns a crop into a business. 🌶️🚜💰

Catch them while they’re still young!

The field teaches lessons no classroom can fully give — patience, discipline, responsibility and the value of hard work.

Farming is not just about growing crops or raising animals. It’s about growing people, building character and passing on a legacy that can feed generations.

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” — Proverbs 13:22

Have a great week friends in farming!
