Today, 23 September, we celebrate the African New Year through indigenous knowledge and the solar and agricultural calendar.

Around the spring equinox, day and night come into balance. Winter gives way to spring, trees put out new leaves, the land turns green, and communities prepare for planting. It is a season of renewal, gratitude, and hope for the harvest ahead. 🌱

May this new year reconnect us with the land, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the foods that sustain our communities.
