These two F1 MashonaxBrahman cross heifers have caught our eye in the herd. We’ve blended the Brahman’s size and frame with the Mashona’s outstanding fertility, heat tolerance, and easy-keeping traits. Hybrid vigor (heterosis) will enable us to yield high-performing calves with strong growth potential and excellent maternal traits.

They’re built to thrive, and we’re excited to see how they perform when bred to our new Brahman bull.

Battles are won in the trenches. This heifer named 'Vumba" survived lumpy skin disease. You can see the spots on her face. Yes we vaccinated. Farmers who have stayed long enough will appreciate that such cases can happen. A lot of untold stories happen at the farms.

Good story is, in the early hours of yesterday, she dropped a massive bull calf. We fought for her survival and we're happy to see her thriving today. Well done Vumba 👏🏼.

This resilient cow named 'Nature' makes us proud. She has given us 3 heifers in a row. All three are alive and two are already part of our production. Now on her 4th drop, she has given us a bull calf. This is an amazing performance on the natural veld. Our duty now is to help her give us a fifth calf next year to make it 5 calves in a row for 5 consecutive years 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.

During the dry season what's lacking now is protein and this is what we're currently supplementing for.

A good cow + good management = production.
