UNDERSTANDING DEMONOLOGY IN A biblical PERSPECTIVE

INTRODUCTION TO DEMONOLOGY
Demonology is the study of demons, their characteristics, activities, and their influence on humanity, as drawn from religious texts, particularly the Bible. It encompasses the understanding of evil supernatural beings and their role in spiritual warfare, as well as their interactions with people and the world.
Demonology is the study of demons and their influence in the spiritual and physical realms. It is a field that delves into the nature of evil, the existence of malevolent spiritual beings, and their interaction with humanity. Understanding demonology is essential for several reasons: it equips us to recognize the underlying spiritual battles we face, encourages discernment, and strengthens our faith as we confront the challenges of life.
BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS OF DEMONOLOGY
The Bible provides numerous references that illustrate the existence of demons, their nature, and their activities. Below are key passages that support the concepts within demonology:

1. Existence of Demons
Matthew 12:24-27: Jesus speaks of "Beelzebul," indicating the existence of a hierarchy of evil spirits. This passage confirms that demons are real entities with authority and power in opposition to God.
James 2:19: "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." This verse emphasizes that demons acknowledge God's existence but remain in rebellion against Him.

2. Nature of Demons
- Luke 8:30, In the account of the Gerasene demoniac, Jesus encounters a man possessed by a multitude of demons that identify themselves as "Legion." This illustrates that demons can inhabit individuals and can be large numbers and complexities.
-Ephesians 6:12, Paul writes, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against
Demons are often described as fallen angels—spiritual beings that once served God but chose to rebel against Him. Their existence is rooted in scripture, with references found throughout religious texts. For example:
In Christianity, passages such as Isaiah 14:12-15 and Ezekiel 28:12-17 provide insight into the fall of Lucifer, the archangel who became Satan, the chief of demons. Revelation 12:7-9 describes a war in heaven in which these fallen angels were cast out to earth.

- In other traditions, demons may take on different forms and names, but the underlying theme of malevolent spirits remains consistent.
While demons lack physical bodies, they possess the ability to influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, manifesting their presence in various ways—temptation, oppression, and even possession. Understanding how they operate is vital for spiritual discernment.
THE PURPOSE AND ACTIVITIES OF DEMONS

1. DEMONS SERVE A TWOFOLD PURPOSE:
To oppose God’s creation: Their primary objective is to undermine God’s authority and disrupt His creation. They seek to distort truth, promote sin, and lead individuals away from faith and righteousness.

- To target humanity: Demons often exploit human vulnerabilities, fostering despair, addiction, and strife. Their intent is to draw individuals into a cycle of sin and separation from God.
2. COMMON ACTIVITIES OF DEMONS INCLUDE:
-Temptation: Influencing individuals to act contrary to God’s will.
- Deception: Spreading lies that lead people to doubt God’s goodness and promises.
- Oppression: Creating emotional and psychological turmoil in individuals’ lives.
It’s essential to recognize these activities without attributing every misfortune to demonic influence. Our responsibility is to discern the source of our struggles and respond with faith.
3. THE AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER
As believers, it is crucial to understand our authority over evil spirits. In biblical Christianity, Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection defeated the powers of darkness. When we embrace faith in Christ, we are empowered with authority to confront these forces.
Verses such as Luke 10:19 affirm this authority: “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” This assurance empowers believers to engage in spiritual warfare, utilizing prayer, scripture, and the name of Jesus to fight against demonic influence.
4. THE ARMOR OF GOD
In Ephesians 6:10-18, we find Paul's exhortation to put on the "full armor of God." This passage serves as a powerful framework for spiritual warfare:
- Belt of Truth: Grounding ourselves in the truth of God’s Word provides stability against deception.
- Breastplate of Righteousness: Our actions matter; living righteously protects our hearts from guilt and accusation.
- Shoes of the Gospel of Peace: Being rooted in God’s peace equips us to face turmoil with confidence.
- Shield of Faith: Faith acts as a defense against the fiery darts of doubt and negativity.
- Helmet of Salvation: Protecting our minds with the assurance of salvation guards against despair.
- Sword of the Spirit: The Word of God is our weapon, used to cut through lies and bring clarity.
5. THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY AND PRAYER
Demonology is not just an individual pursuit; it’s a communal endeavor. Engaging in spiritual warfare often requires the support and prayers of fellow believers. James 5:16 states, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” Collectively praying for each other strengthens our resolve and fortifies our defenses against spiritual attack.
CONCLUSION
In navigating the complexities of demonology, we must remember that the ultimate victory belongs to God. While demons seek to disrupt and destroy, our focus should be on the light of Christ. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil.
By grounding ourselves in scripture, embracing our identity in Christ, and standing firm in faith, we can face any spiritual challenge with confidence. Remember, as believers, we are called not to fear the darkness but to shine our light brightly, knowing that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37)

Humility is the quality of being modest or low in stature, recognizing one's limitations and valuing others. In a biblical context, humility is often associated with a willingness to submit to God and serve others, reflecting an attitude of dependence on God rather than self-sufficiency.

‎1. Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)
‎ "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
‎Put other people first before you, by not looking on your status, person interest and focus on the service.

‎2. James 4:6 (NIV)
‎ "But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: 'God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.'"
‎So it's one way of obtaining favor from God.

‎Be humble for the Lord will uplift you, be a leader not a Boss, be a child of God not man of God, be a blessing to the nation not a case and let people find comfort and peace to you. As a child of God be were people are do not be special for nothing, just come on the level of people and be a servant, this doesn't mean you are a slave.
‎JAH BLESS

Integrity refers to the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It involves consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, and principles. A person with integrity acts according to their beliefs and values, even when it may be difficult or inconvenient. Integrity is often associated with trustworthiness, reliability, and ethical behavior. This is not something that you do for people but for yourself and God. It can be true integrity only when you are alone.

‎Integrity is a valued trait in the Bible, often associated with righteousness and honesty. Here are a few key references:

‎Proverbs 11:3 "The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them." This verse highlights how integrity leads to guidance and protection.

‎Psalm 25:21 "May integrity and uprightness protect me, for I wait for you." This reflects a prayer for integrity to serve as a safeguard. So we need to know that integrity protect us by bringing good reputation to us.
‎Proverbs 20:7 "The righteous who walks in his integrity, blessed are his children after him!" This suggests that living with integrity has positive repercussions for future generations. For we have seen 👀 people honoring the dead for keeping a good name for their family even after they are dead.
‎Remember a good name is better than expensive perfume, what gives a good name is a good integrity.

‎Job 2:3 "And the Lord said to Satan, 'Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?'” Job's integrity is highlighted as a key part of his character. We need to take a closer look on our character.

‎These verses emphasize the importance of integrity in one's relationship with God and in daily life.

THEME: Salvation
‎- Salvation is a central theme in Christianity, and it is something that many seek and desire. Today, we will explore the concept of salvation and its significance in our lives. Our text for today is John 3:16, which is often referred to as the "golden verse" of the Bible.

‎- John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." This verse encapsulates the essence of salvation - the love of God that led him to sacrifice his Son for our redemption.
‎- Salvation is a gift from God that is extended to all who believe in Jesus Christ. It is not something we can earn or merit through our own efforts, but it is freely given to us through faith.
‎- The ultimate purpose of salvation is to deliver us from the consequences of sin and to reconcile us to God. Through Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, redeemed, and restored to a right relationship with our Creator.
‎- Salvation is not just about life after death, but it also has practical implications for our lives here and now. It brings hope, peace, joy, and purpose to our existence. It empowers us to live a life that glorifies God and serves others.
‎- While salvation is a gift, it requires a response from us. We must believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, repent of our sins, and commit to following him. This faith-filled response is what connects us to the salvation that God offers.

‎- In conclusion, salvation is a precious gift from God that is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity to experience the love, grace, and forgiveness of God in a profound and life-changing way. Let us embrace this gift with gratitude and humility, and let it transform us into the people God created us to be.

COME AND HAVE BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

‎"Jesus is standing on the shore of your life this morning. Some of you have been fishing all night working, serving, trying and caught nothing.
‎To the empty: Stop striving. Hear Him say 'Throw it on the right side.' One act of obedience away from abundance.
‎To the ashamed: Peter, you denied Him by a fire. He’s calling you to a fire. Let this be your restoration._
‎To the hungry: He says 'Come and have breakfast.' You don’t have to earn this meal. It’s already cooked.

‎The table is ready. The King is serving. The 40 days proved He’s alive. This morning proves He’s for you.
‎Come to Jesus. Let Jesus feed you, so He can send you. Because God is able to take fishermen and make them apostles if they’ll just have breakfast with him first.
