🍗 Sesame Chili Chicken
Ingredients:
• 500g boneless chicken breast
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
• 1 tbsp sesame oil
• 1 tbsp chili oil (or chili flakes in hot oil)
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tbsp minced garlic
• 1 tbsp minced ginger
• 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
• 1 tsp cornstarch
• Salt to taste
• Spring onions or extra sesame seeds for garnish
Process:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
Boil or steam chicken breast until tender, then slice into strips.
2. Make the Sauce:
In a small pan, heat sesame oil. Add garlic and ginger—sauté until fragrant.
Stir in soy sauce, chili oil, honey, and vinegar. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
3. Thicken It Up:
Mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and add to the sauce to slightly thicken.
4. Combine:
Pour the hot sauce over the sliced chicken. Sprinkle sesame seeds generously.
5. Serve:
Garnish with spring onions or more sesame seeds. Serve warm with rice or noodles.
