It might not be our first birthday as Bicheno Beer Co… but it is our first birthday since finding a home for our brewery and taproom….And what an epic 12 months it’s been.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you to everyone who has walked through the doors, shared a beer with us, supported our events, brought your mates along, and helped create the vibe that makes this place so special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better community to do this with.

So now it’s time to celebrate the best way we know how… with great beer, great food, live tunes and all our local favourites together in one place

We’re teaming up with and for our very first ever Trivia Night. It’s shaping up to be a cracking night of beers, food, laughs and questionable general knowledge!

Thursday 21st May
5pm arrival for a 6pm start
Wrapped up by 8pm

What a day. Thanks to everyone who came along and helped us officially release the 3rd edition of our Waubs Harbour Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout.

We were absolutely stoked to share this special beer with you all alongside Tim, Bec & Rob from . Seeing everyone enjoying the stout, whisky, chocolate and plenty of laughs made all the work worth it.

The feedback has honestly blown us away — enough to make us want to go round again for Edition 4….. although it might look a little different… we’ll see

For those who missed out, we only have a couple of bottles left available online on our website. Snap them up while you can… you won’t regret it

A sneaky midweek moment.

We got together for a quiet taste ahead of Saturday’s release of our Waubs Harbour Barrel-aged Imperial Stout — no fuss, no plan… and no bottle opener. So Rob did what Rob does and went old school to get it open.

What followed was exactly why we do this.

Sharing with the people who helped bring this beer to life — stories, laughs, and that first shared sip of something pretty special. And having Laurie there, the mastermind behind the barrels, made it all the more meaningful. We were just missing Bec!

This is why it’s in a 750ml bottle.

Not for the shelf. Not to keep to yourself.
But to crack with your people — to pour, pass around, slow down, and enjoy the moment together.

Saturday’s not just a release. It’s an invitation.

Our Waubs Harbour Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout returns — and if you’ve had your hands on some from previous releases, you already know just how special this beer is.
Each edition has taken home Gold at the Australian Independent Beer Awards, and for good reason. This is a stout built to impress — rich, layered, and unapologetically decadent.

Brewed in collaboration with our good friends Tim, Bec & Rob from , this release continues a partnership grounded in craftsmanship and shared obsession. Using barrels from their sold-out Stout Cask whisky releases, we’ve created something that truly blurs the line between beer and spirit.

Expect deep notes of dark chocolate, whisky-soaked fruit, vanilla, oak and warming spirit — all wrapped in a velvety body that lingers long after the last sip.
Very limited. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Join us on Saturday 9th May at Bicheno Beer Co. as we officially release this decadent stout.

They’re not just talented cooks; they’re genuinely wonderful people who pour so much care into everything they create. Their food has a way of bringing everyone together, and this weekend with them will feel a little extra special.

The wait is over… Release Day is here - 9th May

Our Waubs Harbour Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout is back — the latest chapter in a collaboration we’re seriously proud of. A beer shaped by time, patience, and those incredible whisky barrels, layering deep notes of dark chocolate, whisky-soaked fruit, vanilla and oak into a rich, velvety stout.

This year we took things a step further…
Every bottle has been hand filled, labelled, individually numbered, and finished with a wax seal using our own custom embossing. A proper labour of love, and one that makes each bottle feel as special as what’s inside it.

This isn’t a “crack one on a Tuesday” kind of beer. This is the one you bring out when you want to impress — best shared with good people and good stories.

Very limited release.
