How we harvest turf 🌱

Fresh, same-day, with a little help from our FireFly ProSlab Harvesters.

It takes many, many, MANY months of prep, care, mowing and attention to get to this point.

But it's so satisfying to finally see harvest day roll around.

You can bank on quality turf, and we can bank on Jeremy being the first here to harvest it. 🌱

As for who’s known for being a tad late... we didn’t reach a unanimous decision.

There’s a reason we’re out here harvesting before the sun is even up. 🌅

Freshly harvested turf needs to get back in the ground in its new home as quickly as possible, which means some very, very early mornings for the team.

And once the sun does come up, it’s pretty strong and a good reminder that all of our turf is grown in full sun. ☀️

So when choosing your variety, it’s not the sun you need to consider. It’s the shade. Some varieties handle it far better than others.

Watering regularly but your lawn still looks dry? It's not you, it's your soil.

Meet our Product of the Month: Lawn Soaker.

Designed to help re-wet soil that repels water and improve water movement, Lawn Soaker gets moisture where your lawn actually needs it.

The 2L hose-on bottle treats up to 150m², with no measuring or mixing required.

Available from GoTurf Brendale and online at https://goturf.com.au/products/lawn-soaker-2l-hose-on.

There’s always plenty to do around the farm, but a view like this deserves a moment to take it in.

We’re pretty lucky to call sunny South East Queensland home. 🌅

And if you’d like turf that’s grown under all this sunshine, head to goturf.com.au.

If we’re delivering your turf, you can drive whatever you fancy around town. 😎

But if you’re pulling up to GoTurf Brendale or the farm for a turf pick-up, please make sure you’ve got:

→ A trailer larger than 6x4 or a flat tray ute
→ A vehicle with adequate load capacity for your pallet
→ A setup suitable for safely securing the load

As much as we love the confidence, please leave the hatchbacks at home.

Struggling to choose your turf variety?

There are a fair few options on the table, and now we're adding a Stampede-shaped one into the mix.

First things first, the easiest point of call? Talk to our team.

We're here to understand what you're looking for, what your yard is like, and give you advice based on what will actually work for you.

(Seriously, outsource all the turf thinking.)

You can visit our Brendale storefront, see our turf displays, touch them, walk across them... maybe even have a picnic on them and get a sense of what it could feel like in your home.

But if you'd prefer to learn more about the new kid on the block, Stampede, this one is for you.
