1. Don’t overwater it: Your lawn needs less water in winter, so water it on an as-needed basis.

2. Mow a little higher: Having a bit more leaf helps your turf hold colour and stay healthier through the cooler months.

3. Stay on top of weeds: Growth slows in winter, which gives weeds a chance to creep in if you leave them. Use a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent them, and if they’re already there, get rid of them with haste.

And if it’s losing a bit of colour, that’s completely normal this time of year. You can use ColourGuard Plus to help restore it.

When your turf is delivered, the roots have just been cut, so the priority is simple: moisture.

Give it a decent watering as soon as it’s laid, and continue watering frequently over the first few weeks while it establishes.

Waiting even one day can ruin the turf (and cause pallet burn on hotter days).

If you can’t lay it yourself on the same day, let us handle it by booking our installation service in advance.
