We are a small family farm located in Copping producing beef and goat meat. We also make Tongola Cheese on site from our goat dairy herd.

Leap Farm is a free range goat (dairy and meat) and cattle farm in South East Tasmania using organic and bio-dynamic principles to ensure sustainability and quality produce.

Guess what we have back in stock at the Bream Creek Farmers Market - we have our fabulous beetroot and herb sausages, as well as Boerewors. We have all the goat cuts available, and it’s the last of our fresh Tongola Cheese for the season.

This Sunday, from 9am to 12 noon (winter hours) at the Bream Creek Showground.

Now that is a ripe Zoè - look how it’s starting to ooze. The longer you leave this cheese, the more liquid ooze and punchy flavour there is. I have to say, I think this one is perfectly ripe.

Easter Cheese Hunt, anyone? Zoé’s are perfect for hiding in the garden! On Easter Sunday we will be selling our meat and Tongola Cheese at the Bream Creek Farmers Market – we have a limited supply of goat meat, so be quick! We will also have beef mince, all our cheeses and Leapful Skin hand and face creams. No pastured eggs this time.

There is an Easter egg hunt for the kids, mountains of hot cross buns (although these are sure to be snapped up quickly) and lots of treats. Pippi’s Pantry will also have her usual culprits.

The weather forecast looks perfect (finally!) – hope to see you there.

It’s International Women’s Day, which we marked here on the farm by… yep… working!! To all the women in the world who are free to work, whether that’s in Ag, healthcare, both (😂), engineering, hospo, corporate, and everything in between, it’s a privilege, it’s hard, but we hope you find it rewarding and purposeful. For the women who aren’t free to work, we see you and we do what we can with our voices so that you, too, can have choice.

And we know that most women, regardless of where or how they live, also have other work, the unpaid work… we see that too.

So may we mark this day, however we choose, think of each other, lend our voices to those who don’t have one, and revel in the joy of womanhood.

I can’t believe it’s the last weekend of summer!! But the end of summer = Big B in season! We will be at the Bream Creek Farmers Market this Sunday 1 March with ALL our fresh cheeses AND Big B. And as chief Flavour Quality Assurance Tester, I can promise that it’s better than ever!

Come to our Tongola Cheese stall at the Tasmanian Wine Festival where you can grab some fabulous wone in addition to our these cheese platters featuring our Pippi and Big B

We will also have Tongola T-shirts (adults and kids 6-12) and Hoodies (adults) available for purchase.

The weather is looking more autumnal (already!!) - which means slow cooking is back on the menu, and with school going back, so is “fast food”.

Fast food options in our rural household consist of dinners that everyone loves, and are ready in less than 15 mins. Here’s my go to “middle of the week and I’ve run out of time” dinner:
- cook pasta
- last 2 mins, chuck in some frozen peas
- drain the lot in the saucepan
- stir in Curdy, so pasta and peas are well-coated
- season with salt, cracked pepper, some lemon zest and basil (and you can even put more cheese - cheddar or Parmesan - on top!)

We are at the Bream Creek Farmers Market this Sunday 1st Feb from 9am to 1pm.

We have lots of goat meat ready for slow cooking, backstrap for “fast food”, and our Tongola Cheese. We’ll also have some eggs, but not many (as our other favourite fast food is scrambled eggs with Curdy or Zoé, tomatoes, red onion and a hint of chili, with fresh basil on top - which we’ve been eating at least weekly recently).

Delicious Tongola Cheese Zoè with a cherry tomato and basil. So yum as lunch (or a snack). You can get Zoé tomorrow, Sunday 4th Jan, at the Bream Creek Farmers Market along with our other cheeses, and some delicious goat for the BBQ (or if the weather turns wintry again, the oven).

We’ll have a few dozen eggs, as well as Leapful Skin hand and face cream.

Hope you all leap into the New Year like Cupcake!

Have a safe and lovely New Year’s Eve today - from all of us on the farm.

These naughty kids pushed out of their pen overnight and had a party - ate some party food (they lifted the lid and got into the pellets) and messed up our floor that we’d even swept the night before!!
