WELL… WE DID IT. THE APPLICATION IS IN!
After months of planning, drawing, quoting, calculating, rewriting, second-guessing, dreaming… and possibly consuming a little too much coffee.
Our funding application for the Pioneer Valley Culinary Pavilion & Pantry has officially been SUBMITTED!
And this is a BIG one for One Hungry Mumma.
We’ve applied through the Queensland Government’s Regional Tourism Infrastructure Fund – Round 2, a funding program designed to support new and enhanced tourism infrastructure and experiences across regional Queensland.
For us, this funding could help turn something we’ve been dreaming about for years into reality — a purpose-built, accessible, all-weather culinary space right here in Finch Hatton.
And why are we sharing this with you before we even know the outcome?
Because YOU are a huge part of this story.
For almost 10 years, the One Hungry Mumma community has supported us.
You’ve bought our jars at markets, come along to cooking classes, gathered around our tables, booked celebrations, attended our crazy themed events, bought subscription boxes, stocked our pantry goodies, shared our posts, recommended us to friends and kept coming back for more.
You are the reason we’ve had the confidence to dream this big.
What started with a few jars of sauce has grown into something we could never have imagined all those years ago.
And now we’re ready for the next chapter.
Our vision is the Pioneer Valley Culinary Pavilion & Pantry — a permanent space where we can host more cooking classes, shared-table dining, food experiences, events and tour groups, alongside a Pantry showcasing our products and welcoming visitors exploring the Pioneer Valley.
A place to cook, gather, eat, laugh and share the stories of our region.
And importantly, it gives us the infrastructure to do something we simply can't do consistently now — welcome visitors year-round, rain, hail or shine.
The plans are done.
The approvals are in place.
The quotes have been gathered.
The application has been submitted.
Now… WE WAIT.
So if you’ve ever joined us for a class, sat around one of our tables, bought a jar, shared a post, told a friend about us or simply cheered this crazy little business on from the sidelines — send every bit of good luck, positive energy and “PLEASE FUND THE PAVILION!” vibes our way.
Because this next chapter could be a pretty special one — not just for One Hungry Mumma, but for Finch Hatton and the Pioneer Valley.
And if we’re lucky enough to make it happen, we can’t wait to welcome YOU through those doors.
