Metung Market this Saturday 🌻

The flowers are changing quickly now, with our first sunflowers and snapdragons making their way into this week’s bouquets.

We’ll be at Metung Market this Saturday with fresh seasonal bunches from the farm.

Well, that wasn’t in the plan … Saturday night’s rain did a pretty good job of undoing the last few weeks of work.

Some of the new beds we’ve been building washed away, taking newly planted lisianthus and paper daisy seedlings with them.

Thankfully Mum and Dad came down to lend a hand.

One of the realities of growing flowers outside. Sometimes the weather has other ideas.

Here’s hoping the ones still standing are tougher than they look. 🌱

We’re back at The Exchange House 🌸

You can once again find fresh Two Blue Bells bouquets at Exchange House Food Store in Bairnsdale.

We’ll be delivering a fresh selection each week, filled with whatever is looking beautiful and in season, including some gorgeous locally grown natives at the moment. Keep an eye on our Stories, we’ll let you know whenever a fresh delivery lands.

Howitt Park Market this Sunday 🌸

We’ll be back for our first Howitt Park Market - Bairnsdale of the season this Sunday!

We’ll have fresh seasonal bouquets, dried wreaths and some beautiful locally grown proteas, leucadendrons and leucospermums from our friends at ninelovelyacres!

The warm weather has all but finished our ranunculus season, so this may be one of your last chances to grab them before they’re gone for the season.

Ranunculus season is a short one 🌸

These beauties love the cool weather, which means as spring warms up, their season is already beginning to wind down.

One of the things we love about growing seasonally is you get to enjoy each flower while it’s here 💕

You’ll still find ranunculus popping up in our bouquets for a little while yet, so enjoy them while you can!

Father’s Day flowers for Pa, when your mum has a flower farm 💛

Picked by the boys in their pj’s and grown right here at Two Blue Bells.

We usually tell you to recut your flower stems — it helps them take up water and can help your flowers last longer.

But there’s one exception in our mixed bouquets: daffodils 🌼

Freshly cut daffodil stems release a sap that can affect the other flowers sharing their vase. Before we add them to a mixed bouquet, we condition them separately first.

Once they’ve been conditioned, they’re perfectly happy amongst the other flowers — just don’t recut the daffodil stems.

A little extra help on the flower farm earlier this week 💛
We’ve been filing one of our beds ready for another round of planting - although apparently the most important part is stomping the soil down at the end.
All ready for our final round of ranunculus seedlings to go in 🌱
