Tamar Ridge Winery is on the western bank of the picturesque Tamar River just north of Launceston. The full range of Tamar Ridge wines and Pirie sparkling can be tasted at the cellar door as well as a range of the Devil’s Corner wines. Our informative and friendly staff will guide you through the range of wines. Plus there is usually the odd 'hidden treasure' - wines restricted to Cellar Door and

not generally available. Guests can picnic on the lawn or enjoy a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the Tamar River. Platters featuring Tasmanian cheeses and locally made terrines are available for purchase. The cellar door can cater for large groups, by prior arrangement. House Rules

What does cool-climate actually mean?

It’s a term you’ll hear often in Tasmanian wine, but there’s a lot happening behind those two words.

Should you decant every bottle?

The short answer is no.

Decanting can help some wines express themselves more fully by opening up aromas, softening tannins and allowing the wine to breathe. Others are ready to enjoy from the moment they're poured.

Watch as we explain what decanting does, which wines benefit most and how a simple extra step can elevate your next glass.

Some vineyard sites reveal their potential immediately. Others earn their reputation over time.

For many vintages, Block K46 has consistently contributed to some of our finest Chardonnays. Now, for the first time, it takes centre stage as our Single Block Chardonnay 2025.

Produced from just seven carefully selected barrels and limited to only 1,900 bottles, this release is a true reflection of site, season and craftsmanship.

Available now online and at our Tamar Ridge Cellar Door.
