Meursault producer Antoine Jobard is regarded as one of the benchmark growers of white Burgundy, crafting Chardonnay of remarkable precision, minerality, and longevity. Taking over the family estate from his father, François Jobard, Antoine has maintained a philosophy centred on meticulous vineyard work, restrained use of oak, and extended élevage, allowing each site to express its unique character.

The domaine’s holdings include some of Meursault’s finest premier crus, notably Meursault Premier Cru Les Genevrières, Meursault Premier Cru Les Poruzots, and Meursault Premier Cru Les Charmes. The wines are classically styled—taut, mineral, and tightly wound in youth—showing notes of citrus peel, crushed stone, hazelnut, and subtle reduction, with an exceptional ability to evolve and gain complexity over decades in the cellar.

We’re also starting a new Friday tradition.

Every Friday from 4pm, store manager Dan Banks will open a bottle he thinks is worth sharing. It might be a benchmark producer, an exciting new discovery, or simply a wine with a story too good not to tell.

Champagne Jérôme Prévost has become one of the most revered names in the grower-Champagne movement, crafting highly sought-after wines from the village of Gueux in the Petite Montagne de Reims. Working with a meticulous, terroir-driven philosophy and championing Pinot Meunier long before it was fashionable, Prévost has elevated the grape to extraordinary heights through his tiny production.

His flagship La Closerie Les Béguines is sourced primarily from the historic Les Béguines vineyard, delivering remarkable depth, texture and mineral complexity. Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils is one of Chablis’ benchmark estates, combining a centuries-old family history with organic viticulture and meticulous parcel-by-parcel winemaking under Fabien Moreau. The wines are prized for their purity, precision and expression of Chablis’ Kimmeridgian limestone soils.

Among the range, the Premier Cru Vaillons stands out for its south-facing exposure and layered balance of citrus, white flowers, oyster-shell minerality and subtle texture, while the old-vine Vaillon Guy Moreau bottling offers greater concentration and depth. At the pinnacle of the estate sits the Grand Cru Les Clos, sourced from one of the domaine’s most significant holdings in Chablis, producing a wine of remarkable power, salinity and longevity that nevertheless retains the crystalline freshness that defines great Chablis.

Domaine Dureuil-Janthial is one of the leading producers in Rully, in Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, known for making site-driven, finely structured wines that punch well above the appellation’s reputation.

Run by Vincent and Céline Dureuil, the domaine focuses on careful vineyard work, low yields, and increasingly organic practices, with holdings spread across Rully and nearby appellations.

The white wines (Chardonnay) are especially notable for their precision, combining citrus and stone-fruit purity with a firm chalky mineral core, subtle oak influence, and strong ageing potential, particularly from premier cru sites like Meix Cadot and Vauvry.

The reds (Pinot Noir) are typically elegant and perfumed, showing bright red fruit, fine tannins, and a slightly earthy, spicy edge.

Overall, the style is more restrained and linear than flashy, often requiring time to open, but rewarding patience with impressive depth and a sense of transparency to terroir.

Compass Box Hedonism 2026 has arrived.
 
An annual release collectors wait for - and one of the most recognisable modern Scotch series in the world.
 
The 2026 edition takes Hedonism deeper and richer, built from aged grain whisky parcels including components up to 30 years old. Expect layers of cocoa, roasted almond, dates and warming spice wrapped in Hedonism’s signature silky texture.
 
This year’s release also unveils a new Hedonism Muse, featuring Karen Gillan interpreted through the work of artist Emma Hack - continuing the evolving visual identity that collectors follow closely.
