This week’s selections include Asparagus (Regular, Jumbo and White), Lemons, Mandarins, Blood Oranges, Pineapple, Blueberries and Large Potatoes (Washed, Desiree, Sebago and Dutch Creamer). Speak to your Account Manager for more information on these specials.

VEGETABLES:
Potatoes are in the spotlight this week, with Large Desiree, Large Washed and Dutch Creamer varieties featured. Large Sebago Potatoes are a great choice for chips, while Asparagus, Jumbo Asparagus and White Asparagus offer plenty of menu inspiration. Broccoli, Broccolini, Cauliflower, Cos Lettuce, Orange Dutch Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes and Medley Mix are improving. Heirloom Tomatoes, Coloured Dutch Carrots, Red Capsicum, Purple Basil and Butter Beans remain under pressure, and Brussels Sprouts are in a seasonal gap.

FRUIT:
Lemons, Blood Oranges, Mandarins, Pineapples and Blueberries are this week’s featured picks. Mangoes, Oranges and Red, Green and Black Grapes are improving. Watermelon, Honeydew, Rockmelon and Finger Limes remain under pressure. USA Stone Fruit and Rockit Apples have finished, USA Plums are finishing up, and early Australian Stone Fruit is sporadic and expensive.

Please note: With the Labour Day long weekend coming up, we’ll be open for deliveries on Saturday 3 October and closed on Monday 5 October. Please get your orders in early to avoid disappointment.

Welcome to this week’s fresh market update as we move into Spring, with several lines offering excellent quality and value.

VEGETABLES:

Corn, Broccolini, Iceberg Lettuce, Chinese Cabbage and Large Sebago Potatoes are this week’s featured lines. Corn, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Iceberg Lettuce, Cos Lettuce and Large Desiree Potatoes continue to improve. Heirloom Tomatoes, Coloured Dutch Carrots, Basil, Purple Basil and Avocados remain under pressure, while Brussels Sprouts are experiencing a seasonal gap.

FRUIT:

Ruby Grapefruit, Blood Oranges, Navel Oranges, Mandarins and Bananas look fantastic and offer great value this week. Mangoes, Oranges and USA Red Grapes continue to improve. Pineapples, Honeydew Melons, Rockmelons and Limes remain under pressure, while the Finger Lime season has now finished.

Welcome Spring! As the seasons change, several lines are experiencing pressure while growing regions transition. This is typical for this time of year, and availability should improve as the warmer weather settles in.

Vegetables:
Corn, Broccoli, Cauliflower and Iceberg Lettuce are all improving. Heirloom Tomatoes, Yellow Grape Tomatoes, Coloured Dutch Carrots, Basil, Purple Basil and Yellow Beans remain under pressure as growing regions transition for Spring.

Fruit:
Ruby Grapefruit, Blood Oranges, Navel Oranges and Mandarins are our featured fruit lines and look fantastic. Mangoes are beginning to improve as we welcome the new season, while USA Red Grapes are also improving. Pineapples, Honeydew, Rockmelon, Pomegranates and Limes remain under pressure this week. Lastly, Persimmon season has officially come to an end.
