Please note the new Late Summer operating hours:
Owl Grove Roses will be now closed on Wednesdays so I can attend to family responsibilities and theatre costuming for Frozen.
Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 2-4 after the Codrington Farmers' market 10-1.

Tired of road construction, keyboard bullies, the dim, the exasperating and the doom scrolling?
How about a delightful day spent in the garden, learning an artistic endeavour just for the joy of creating something lovely,
among flowers, birds and pleasant people
and followed by a locally-provided luncheon in a historical (1855) farmhouse ?
Art instruction, art supplies, flower bouquets, tasty food, relaxing and unplugging from the worries of the world for a while.
Come discover the simpler way, the slower way, the more engaged way to give the big middle-finger to the cacophony of chaos.

Yup... It would not be a seasonal, home-based business Summer without a road closure at my driveway, weekly re-routed detours, construction dust, noise and agitated local drivers.

Year six of road construction on my doorstep and I am STILL HERE, trying my best to sell beautiful, curated roses, harvesting heirloom flowers for bouquets and attempting to keep the lights on.

No property tax compensation, no grants, loans or subsidies to stay afloat, no big-asking for free help, no lofty expectations of special treatment.

So head-down, sweat-equity and waiting it out...
no duplicating pivot to ride the successes of local businesses, no mariachi band (sorry) or gimmicks.

Just great roses and flowers to make the world a bit more beautiful.

My life is getting a bit unpredictable and demanding of additional responsibilities so why not have a sale to get gorgeous rosebushes into people's gardens so they can enjoy beauty, fragrance and possibly some calmness in their sanctuary of space.
