This has been something I’ve wanted to offer for quite some time now, and with fireweed season only weeks away, it finally feels like the right time. 🌿

This summer at Foley’sHouse, I’ll be offering small artisanal tea making workshops inspired by the plants, traditions, and slower pace of life here along Newfoundland’s rugged northern coast.

Guests will learn the traditional process of crafting fermented fireweed tea — from harvesting and processing the leaves to fermentation, drying, and tea tasting.

More than anything, I hope it offers people a quiet afternoon to slow down, learn something meaningful, and enjoy this beautiful place with me for a little while. ☕🌲

If you’re interested in attending, feel free to message me and I’ll begin making a list of names. Dates will be announced once fireweed season arrives and workshops are scheduled.

Fresh iceberg ice, gathered by hand along the shore here in Conche. 🧊🌊

As the icebergs drift and break apart along our coastline, my son has been carefully collecting clean pieces of iceberg ice from the beach, rinsing and bagging them for anyone who would like a little piece of Newfoundland’s iceberg season to enjoy at home.

Something new at Foley’sHouse. 🌿

I’ve been blending a small collection of herbal teas inspired by life along the rugged coast and the boreal forest that surrounds us here in Conche.

Each tea is blended in small batches using foraged, garden-grown, and carefully chosen herbs.

These teas will be available throughout the summer at our farm stand and may also be found in a few local spaces around the community.

Just dropped off my bread at Boutitou Café! 🌊🍞

‼️Exciting news!!! — starting next week, Boutitou Café will be serving delicious sandwiches made with my fresh Foley’s House sourdough bread!

And honestly… there’s no better time to make a trip to Conche. The community is currently hosting some absolutely beautiful icebergs, making it the perfect excuse for a little coastal drive. Come enjoy a warm coffee, a fresh sandwich, salty ocean air, and some incredible iceberg views while they’re here.

There’s something special about this time of year in Newfoundland — quiet roads, fresh sea air, icebergs drifting by, and good homemade food shared in a small outport community.

So grab a friend, take the scenic drive, and come make a day of it. We’d love to see you in Conche this summer! 🩵
