We’ve had some new followers lately, so here’s the “S” in the SGA Bull Sale — Brett and Brenna Siroski & family.
If you’ve ever had a handshake with Brett near a pen of cows, you’ve probably been recruited into a full conversation. He loves talking cattle. Pedigrees, programs, how you do things and how we might tweak ours. And if cows aren’t your thing? He can pivot to farming, seeding rates, tractors, combine debates… or even senior men’s hockey in Saskatchewan. There is no such thing as a short conversation. Talking cows and farming are definitely his love language.
While he manages the day-to-day on the farm, I’m juggling the barn or office, a classroom and marking bag, the rink or a gym, carpools and packed suppers, and a tag-along laptop with too many tabs open.
Reagan, Nolan & Amy don’t know life any other way while helping for morning chores, shoveling snow, working with 4-H animals, starting lunch then heading straight to whatever the seasonal activity is. We are the working ranch family meme you see… often coming in hot (sometimes still in farm clothes), but we make it.
Life is full because we choose it that way.
We get to raise good cattle we believe in.
We get to farm land we care about.
We get to coach, volunteer, and cheer loud.
It’s rarely calm. It’s “I hate being late” but somehow we’re always late. But everything else is intentional.
We’re building something we believe in.
And if you ever want to talk about it…
Brett’s your guy. 😉
