The long weekend was full of adventure for Jeff and Gracie ! Lots of horsing 🐴 around.... Once we get these videos edited we will post them up. Great experience for the kids and Pony club in general. The wet weather Hardly held them back.

A massive screw 🪛 up and the story of F U Fridays

During my time in the military we had a saying.... It was F.. U.... friday's.... It meant every Friday something was going to happen which screwed up your weekend... (F'd up is how we put it). I always asked Jenny not to count on me for Friday or Saturdays while I was in because sure as death and taxes.... Something was going to screw 🪛 up and ruin me getting there on time or at all..... Every damn Friday....

Today is Friday.... And low and behold... My gates wrecked.... Now at least all just put it off until later on. Thanks delivery 🚚 people's... You tried to F my weekend but not this time....

An example of this in my previous trade was the mechanical issues on the aircraft... Friday's in the summer was generally speaking at a time where new pilots snuck in a flight on the schedule or had a make up spot... Those times were always fun... We'd all be waiting for the aircraft to land tools packed, shop cleaned etc etc... just need to make sure it lands (serviceable). We download the flight information make sure we had no red flags. We always we're ready to run out help the aircrew fuel tow and tuck it in the hanger to get our area home.... Then usually one of our experienced guys would say hey... Things got a bit rough check that download might have had an over torque or over speed etc etc... could be any number of things...

The time I remember most was hearing I saw a caution light flicker.... During the download we find the alarm 🚨 and it was bad... We were talking engine out , transmission out bad.... I remember hearing from a great friend and co-worker with many more years experience than me. In a traditionally thick and heavy east coast accent
"There she be boys... The fx*kining. Gets ya every
Friday lads." And in unison from four or five others pitch black in the middle of the night on a runway you hear.. " because it's f*"k you Fridays".

That memory kept me from making a bad choice post accident today and saved that elderly man and woman from more than me pointing out my thoughts on their IQ scores....and opinion on the current sobriety state they were in.... Now yous all know the story of "F...U...Fridays"

This old 1990 crown trailer has been our only cattle, pig, sheep, and sled racing .... horse trailer for 6 years now.... It's now back to horse hauling form...

We had to rewire the truck to get out running lights back, then tackled the trailer wiring. Originally it was an old style 5 or 4 pin... With some homemade adapter ... I rewired it to work with the 7 pin or modern day years ago. However it hauled in salt and snow for a few years. The wire had to all be cut back and a new 7 pin connector installed.

Last month we repaired the ramp plywood and welded back in the divider post. Dug the divider out of the barn. Gracie and I installed shorter front stopper bar things to fit Jeff her Pony at the same time.

Today we tackled the rear ramp metal sheeting aswell. We cut the rotten stuff out. Fabricated some new diamond plate panels and added some reflector tape to try and catch some of all these distracted drivers.

Gracie's lesson went extremely well today. Jenny and I couldn't be more surprised at how well she did on her first jump.

This is literally the first time shes attempted it... So now the question ⁉️🤔 remains.... will she stay doing or will she decide to do

Maybe both as parents were just happy she loves and found her " " and we're going to continue to support her for whatever path it leads.

That'll do Dodge... That will do... It pays to have rednecks in the contact list.

When the hay was ready to bring home. Jenny did an amazing job running the old Dodge and new trailer.

Best guess would.... exactly what she's licensed for 10 000 lbs .......heavy (for those FE:s) you know what I mean.

Anyways she did great we had a friend haul the remainder with his truck to save us a second trip and help jenny if needed. Much appreciated Josh Nagora we owe ya float in return one day. Thanks for helping while I was away.

I called just to see how she did.... Josh's response was epic and totally expected.

"Well I'd say pretty good! She was gone! Pretty well had the tractor warmed up by the time I pulled in."

Jenny did say it sort of slows down on the hills around 85... 😂 I said 😂 😂 😂 . FFS..lol

Anyways the truck I need to add in the timberns or bags to level it out but really nice to see we've finally made a step in the right direction to be self sufficient. Two runs or three max would be our yearly hay requirements. Next run I'm grabbing small squares 21 bail bundles. We may have extra and will most likely be able to carry some for sale this winter if needed.

We had a wedding 💍 to attend in last week. While we were gone Lucky Dog Grooming took care of our and all our pets. Large and Small. We would like to thank them and share our 5 star ⭐ review with all of you!

It's no small feat to leave the ranch for us for more than a night. Literally it's truly anxiety-inducing thing to even think about for any . Especially during the summer. We are so thankful to have been able to just shoot a quick TXT or receive a text/call with an update on everyone with the storm and heat wave. Katrina truly allowed us to focus and enjoy our trip. We cannot thank you enough.

Please show them some support if your ever in need of a pet sitter! Trust us.... Our 🐶, 🐈 and 🐴 are not small task to manage.

Gracie and Jeff took Leesa Blakeley for a tour on the cart.

We really enjoy the carting. Jeff's blast to drive, Chatson drive might not have seen horses and carts for a few years before us ... But we hope it continues to see them for generations to come.
