This autumn will be a first for Red Maple Homestead.

I'm excited (and a little nervous!) to be participating in the Autumn Leaves Studio Tour for the very first time.

For years, I've shared my work with fibre enthusiasts and agricultural communities. This tour offers something different: an opportunity to introduce visitors to the story of wool, weaving, and the incredible potential of Ontario-grown fibre.

From locally sourced wool to handwoven textiles, I'm looking forward to opening my studio, sharing the process behind my work, and connecting with fellow makers and art lovers.

I've written a new blog post about why this experience feels so meaningful and what visitors can expect.

The third annual GTB Bioregional Eco Market takes place this Saturday, May 9, open to the public 1-5 pm at the Markham Museum. Just in time for Mother's Day, we're celebrating Your Mother and Mother Earth.

There's no cost for the public to attend

Come visit our booth to explore our collection of Canadian wool products, handcrafted yarns, knitwear, fibre art supplies, and sustainable wool goods inspired by farm life and traditional craftsmanship. Whether youโ€™re a knitter, weaver, gardener, or simply love supporting local makers, weโ€™d love to meet you and share the story behind our wool.

Stop by, say hello, feel the softness of Ontario wool, and discover unique handmade products created with care from farm to fibre.
