A few sessions ago, Salamander was a wild pony who had never been taught anything.

Now he’s following me around like a puppy.

But this didn’t just happen overnight.

It took consistency, clear communication, and being predictable enough that he could start trusting me and understanding what I was asking.

Salamander wasn’t bad, he wasn’t avoiding work, he was just a clean slate. He had never learned to trust, to follow, or to communicate with a person.

This is why we do what we do at Genesis Trail Ranch. We don’t breed horses, we make them.

Since our wedding in October, Josh and I are building this ranch from the ground up. creating a place where horses like Minnow, Salamander, and all the other incredible horses that come through our doors can have a new beginning and the chance to shine.
