Part of that work is becoming an exceptional listener.

I listen for patterns.
I recognize progress.
I hear what is being said—and sometimes, what is hiding beneath the words.

This allows me to identify what may be happening while honouring what my clients believe and feel is happening. Then, together, we develop a plan that feels supportive, achievable and uniquely theirs.

I am not a dictator.
I am not here to demand or control.

I am here to listen, guide, encourage and hold you accountable to the life you say you want.

There are moments in life when you realize you’re not just writing a book… you’re preserving a piece of your heart.

That is exactly how I feel as Choose Joy: A Survivor’s Guide for Hope prepares to be released as an audiobook.

Recording my own story was unlike anything I’ve ever done. Every chapter invited me to revisit heartbreak, healing, resilience, and hope. Some days I smiled while recording. Other days I paused to wipe away tears. But through it all, I was reminded why this message matters.

If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t have time to read,” this is for you.

Soon you’ll be able to listen while you’re driving, walking, gardening, or simply sitting quietly with a cup of coffee. My hope is that my voice feels like a friend sitting beside you, reminding you that no matter what you’ve survived, hope is still possible.

This memoir was never just about my story.

It’s about every person who has faced grief, trauma, addiction, abuse, loss, illness, or life’s unexpected detours—and still found the courage to keep taking one more step.

The audiobook is coming soon, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this next chapter with you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey from the very first page to now. Your encouragement has carried me farther than you know.

Because joy isn’t something we find after life becomes perfect.

One of the most powerful moments in life is realizing that someone benefited from your kindness without honoring your heart.

For those of us in recovery, this realization can be especially painful. Addiction often teaches people to take, manipulate, hide, or survive at all costs. Sometimes we were the ones who were hurt. Sometimes we were the ones who caused hurt. Often, we have been both.

So how do you move forward from something that feels so deeply unfair?

Start by listening to your body.

Where do you feel the pain?

💔 Is your heart clenched like a fist?
⚡ Is your neck tight like a stab of tension?
🤢 Does your gut feel like it has been kicked?
😔 Are your shoulders carrying a weight that isn’t yours to hold?

The body remembers what the mind tries to forget.

When someone triggers a strong emotional reaction, it is often an invitation to explore an old wound that is asking to be seen, felt, and healed. The feelings themselves are not the problem. They are messengers.

Pause and ask yourself:

✨ What am I feeling right now?
✨ When have I felt this before?
✨ What part of me needs compassion in this moment?

Forgiveness doesn’t mean excusing what happened.

Forgiveness is an inside job. It is the decision to stop carrying the poison and expecting someone else to suffer from it. It is releasing the grip that the past has on your present.

The Pathway to Choose Joy begins here:

I am overflowing with Exponential Joy today.

I had the absolute privilege of working with the sweetest little soul — a Boston/French terrier — and his beautiful human. Both were carrying physical discomfort, and more importantly, the emotional weight connected to it.

This is where healing becomes powerful.

Using Exponential Joy energy, combined with intuitive support like Bach flower essences and energetic alignment, I supported both of them — not just at the level of symptoms, but at the level of connection.

Because pain is never just physical.
And healing is never just one-dimensional.

What I witnessed was a shift… a softening… a release.

And that is everything.

Knowing that I can help both pets and their humans reconnect to ease, comfort, and joy fills my heart in the biggest way.

This is why I do what I do.
