🎶🌞 The sunshine is here and reminding us that summer has finally arrived. Let's add some live music to this lovely sunny weather- it's the perfect mix! 🌞🎶
We have 3 afternoons of live music this July featuring wonderfully talented local musicians.
Music will run alongside the happy hour provided by Emelle's Market Bistro.
Here is our lineup for July Live Music at Gibsons Public Market:

July 4th- Spindrift Street (Atrium)
July 11th- John Pa Rainey (Atrium)
July 18th- No music (due to a private event)
July 25th- Duke of Earles (Atrium)

Music runs 2.30-4.30pm. So join us after a seaside walk to gather with friends, enjoy a tipple of choice, and let the live music usher in our coastal summer 🎶😎

🚂 A massive thank you to Rocky Mountaineer! 🏔️

We are incredibly grateful to Rocky Mountaineer for their generous support of our 2025 Gala Fundraiser. Their donation of a luxury GoldLeaf Service trip, valued at $8,000, was a major highlight of our live auction and helped us raise vital funds for our community!

Our very own Board Chair and her husband were the lucky winners, recently returning from an unforgettable journey along the stunning North Vancouver ➔ Whistler ➔ Quesnel ➔ Jasper route. They couldn’t say enough about the breathtaking scenery and world-class hospitality.

Reducing what goes to landfill starts with small, shared actions ♻️🌿

These sorting stations were installed at the end of last year through the Waste Reduction Initiative Program (WRIP), funded by SCRD, with a clear goal:

to divert recyclable and compostable materials away from landfill.

Since then, we’ve been tracking how they’re being used and observing positive changes in how waste is sorted throughout the space...

Less contamination
More materials being separated correctly
A more streamlined system overall

We went from 15% diversion to 53% waste diverted from landfill! WOW! 🤯

With visitors coming through the Market from across the Coast and beyond, not everyone arrives familiar with local sorting systems.

These stations are designed to make it simple—while creating opportunities for greater awareness with every visit.
