In September 2021, we got the call saying we were the successful candidates for the 2022 New Entrant Dairy Program.
The next few months were a whirlwind of planning, building, learning, and preparing for a dream we had worked toward for years. Then, on June 2, 2022, we milked our first cows in our new barn.
Life hasn't been the same since.
We don't sleep in anymore, our schedules revolve around milking times, and the cows always come first. But we wouldn't have it any other way.
Over the past four years, there have been successes, setbacks, and plenty of lessons along the way. We've grown our farm, grown our family, and built something we are incredibly proud of.
Would I do it all again? Absolutely.
Today we celebrate 4 years of milking cows, 4 years of hard work, and 4 years of making our dream a reality.
