2020 Riesling VQA

Introducing our sweetest wine! This bottle hit the shelves late last summer and is one of our most popular!

•11.4% alcohol and 31.3g/L sugar (off dry, 1)

Tasting Notes 🎶
•Floral with stone fruit and a hint of honey. Sweet with refreshing acidity.

Growing Season and Harvest Conditions ~
The arrival of our labour force was delayed due to travel restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic. This led to a change in pruning tactics in order to get everything done before bud break. July saw above average temperatures and major heat events with little rain. By mid September the conditions were ideal for grape maturation and our harvest was complete by mid October. The yield was low but excellent quality grapes were produced! 🍇

Made with 100% Cabernet Franc 🍇

13.6% alcohol and 3.3g/L sugar (dry, 0)

Growing Season & Harvest Conditions:
• 2018: January started off with bitter cold temperatures and snow lasting through most of the winter. Summer was hot and dry, right through August. September was relatively cool and wet with morning fog and October saw large temperature swings.

Barrel Aged
•Unoaked and Fermented in stainless steel.

Tasting Notes:
•Medium bodied and fruit forward, bursting with cherry notes. Features a short and clean finish 🍒

2016 Surfside Rosé

Blend of our 100% grown in Ontario Harrow Graft Grapes: HG03 (47%), HG04 (39%), and HG04 (14%) 🍇

12.8% alcohol and 13.1g/L sugar (medium dry, 1)

Growing Season & Harvest Conditions:
• 2016: A relatively mild winer and drier than normal spring. Followed by a hot, dry and sunny August. Mature grape vines withstand dry conditions well, and grape quality improves as the vine focuses its energy on producing fruit when under stress. The warm summer lead to an early harvest.

Harvest:
•Harvested from Viewpointe Vineyards in October and November

Tasting Notes:
•Light bodied with strawberry notes and a touch of sweetness 🍓

Blend of Syrah (55%), Cabernet Sauvignon (23%), and Cabernet Franc (22%)

12.8% alcohol and 3.0g/L sugar (dry, 0)

Growing Season & Harvest Conditions:
• 2016: A relatively mild winter and drier than normal spring. Followed by a hot, dry and sunny August. Mature grape vines withstand dry conditions well, and grape quality improves as the vine focuses its energy on producing fruit when under stress. The warm summer led to an early harvest.

Harvest:
•Syrah from North Block Vineyard (2012, 2016, 2017, and 2018)
•Cabernet Sauvignon from Viewpointe Vineyard (2016)
•Cabernet Franc from North Block Vineyard (2016)

Tasting Notes:
•Medium bodied with juicy dark fruit and a hint of black pepper on the finish.

Barrel Aging
•Aged in Staved French oak for 20-23 months.

Blend of Chardonnay (58%), Pinot Grigio (22%), and Riesling (20%)

12.9% alcohol and 12.8g/L sugar (off-dry, 1)

Growing Season & Harvest Conditions:
• 2017: Mild, wet winter followed by a cool, rainy spring and summer, with a short dry spell in early August. Warm, dry harvest weather allowed the grapes to ripen and mature on the vine, resulting in quality fruit.

Harvest:
• September and October from Viewpointe and Walnut Grove vineyards.

Tasting Notes:
•Tropical fruit, pineapple, grapefruit and subtle apple with gentle sweetness.

Surfside White is available in the LCBO and at Viewpointe Winery!
