Goldstream Honey Works

Goldstream Honey Works Pure at its core, bee-loved in every drop β€” whether in a jar, a balm, or a bar. My passion for beekeeping was introduced to me by my family at an early age.

We visited my Uncle Keith and Aunty Dorothy in Northern Saskatchewan when I was about 5 or 6 years old. The picture you see is me and my Uncle showing a frame of honey we had collected. Today fast forward to Goldstream Honey Works.

NOTE THE NEW DATE: 11-12 December 2026!

πŸ•―οΈ One year of hard work has paid off!

On Monday, 5 October, the Pope will receive beekeepers at a private audience. He will meet beekeepers from all over the world, at the initiative of the Slovenian Beekeepers' Association and the European Beekeeping Association. On this occasion, he will also receive a special candle made in Slovenia, in Polzela.

On Saturday, 3 October, a special Holy Mass for all beekeepers will be held at the Borgo Laudato Si’. The Mass will be held by Cardinal Baggio.

According to our information and the publicly available records of the Holy See, there has never before been an official private audience with a Pope dedicated exclusively to beekeepers. This makes the event particularly significant and truly historic.

More information will follow soon, so that you will be able to start organizing participation in your respective countries.

We will present the importance of bees and bee products to the Pope and ask him to do his best to help us raise awareness in the world about the importance of bees and also about the importance of consuming real bee products. We also want to send a message to the world through him - let's buy local honey!
We encourage all beekeeping organizations around the world to organize visits to the Vatican and be part of a unique event...
We look forward to this very special event and to meeting you all in Rome!

🐝 What a wonderful first Sunday at the Metchosin Farmers' Market!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, and spend time with our bees. It was a pleasure meeting so many local families, visitors, and fellow members of the farming community.

Our observation hive sparked wonderful conversations throughout the morning. From children discovering honey bees up close for the first time to aspiring beekeepers asking how to get started, it was a reminder that curiosity is often where every beekeeping journey begins.

One of my favourite parts of the day was talking with people about where honey comes from, what makes raw honey unique, and the remarkable work honey bees do long before a jar ever reaches your table.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed Goldstream Honey Works to Metchosin. Your support made our first market one to remember, and we look forward to seeing you again soon next Sunday.

🐝🍯

Bee Fact: Every jar of honey begins with thousands of individual foraging trips. A single honey bee may visit hundreds of flowers on one trip, and it takes the combined work of an entire colony to produce the honey we enjoy on our tables.
