Sometimes a mislabelled dahlia tuber is a happy surprise. Other times it’s a crime against eyeballs, which is the case this time.

I’m adding 16 new varieties this fall, and one of them is Lois Choice. I’m looking forward to seeing these blooms in person. Only need to wait 2-3 years 😅

I will have some peony roots for sale this fall (not this one, I had to remortgage my house to buy just 3 roots), as well as one or two work for roots days. Nancy Nora is one of my very favourite peonies. Beautiful pink blooms and the most incredible scent. She’s a late bloomer in the season and sadly this year I didn’t even get to see any of her blooms due to my trip. However, tonight I dug up 8 of the plants I put in 2022 and divided them into over 20 new plants! Nothing would make me happier than a whole field of Nancy Nora. But we will start with a row. In a couple years I’ll move the rest of the 2022 plants and finish the row I started today.

I’m looking for some extra hands on Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00-3:30 to help tackle the to do list that never gets shorter.

I have a couple teenagers coming already, so probably would like a couple more in that age range. Hard working, shouldn’t need constant supervision to do a proper job. Not on phone. Work is outside. Send me a message.
