This is not AI! It’s the first peony bloom here of the season. She’s not much to look at compared to some of the other bloomers, but honestly this plant is so reliably first out the gate every year that I plan to divide her up later this fall.

It's Teacher Appreciation Week this week, May 4-8.

Teachers in Alberta have been put through the ringer this school year. We've dealt with a strike, stripping of our rights, often increasingly insane classroom situations, crowded classrooms, frequent attacks from our government, sub shortages, constant criticism in the court of public opinion, and the list goes on. Every teacher I know and work with continues to show up, put a smile on their face and do their best for the kids in their classroom, every single day.

I see you. I appreciate you. And I know others do too!

I have some extra tubers to sell this spring. I am not normally a dahlia tuber seller, but all tubers are in good condition with sprouts/eyes.
Tubers can be shipped once conditions improve, $20 shipping in Canada. Pick up is also available, message me for details if you live in central Alberta (Leduc/Wetaskiwin) and would like to pick up. If you want to pick up at Central Alberta Critter and Craft Sale- May 2, 2026! REGISTER NOW! this weekend, I will hold for pick up with payment.
All Tubers are $10 each.

The response to this years subscriptions has been amazing. I'm so thankful. Having so many people sign up so quickly really feels like a pat on the back.

I think that following this new path is going to allow me to really expand my subscription capacity, filling bouquets with peonies first and foremost and lots and lots of other spring and early summer blooms.

I'm almost at capacity for Beaumont subscriptions, so if you were thinking about getting one, I wouldn't think too long. Still plenty of space for Leduc and Wetaskiwin/Millet.

2026 Subscriptions are available! Just in time for a perfect Mother's Day gift.

Starting this year, and moving forward I will only have one subscription available in spring/early summer.

This year I have pick up options in Beaumont and Leduc, and delivery options in Wetaskiwin and Millet.

Have no fear! Early Perennials will always be here!

Some of my favourites are early summer perennials that bloom at the same time as the peonies. I will be keeping them around for sure.
I have lots of spring/early summer perennials already: lupins, globe flower, iris, columbine, perennial anemone, yarrow, ladies mantel, and sometimes delphinium and bleeding heart.

Perennials I will be parting with include bee balm, lots of lilies, obedient flower, veronica, cone flower. There's other things that will be harder for me to part with 😌 If the weather smartens up I'm going to try and dig up some lily bulbs this week to have at the sale in Wetaskiwin on May 2. I am thinking about doing a perennial sale at the farm in May, so keep it here for more information on that if you're looking for plants. I also would be willing to trade perennials for peonies if you've got some large peonies to dig out. I also have lost of seeds on sale, and dahlia tubers. Send me a message if you'd like to talk more about anything!

SEEDS! I have seeds to sell. Probably a couple hundred packs that I don’t anticipate using anymore. I have everything from sunflowers to snapdragons, amaranth and violas. Some herbs and calendula. I have an extensive collection.

I’m going to start by selling them in $10 mystery packs, which will include 4+ seed packs. I can mail if you’re willing to also pay shipping, or they’re available for meet up/pick up.

I make no promises about germination, but I always store my seeds cool and dry. If you don’t want to take a chance on seeds that aren’t fresh this year, then this isn’t for you.

I will also have any seeds that aren’t sold by next weekend available at the .sale next weekend in Wetaskiwin. I will also have dahlia tubers for sale there. Come say hi at co-op place in Wetaskiwin, between 10-3 on Saturday May 2.
