We’re thankful for everyone who stopped by the stand, supported our local makers, and brought a friend along this year. Seeing familiar faces and meeting new neighbours has been one of the best parts of sharing this little corner of Maple Hills with you.

Your Sunday night reminder to get more vitamin C.

Staying scurvy free is an underrated life goal.

Centuries ago, scurvy devastated ships’ crews during long voyages without fresh fruit and vegetables. The culprit was vitamin C deficiency, though sailors didn’t know it yet.

Eat an orange, ye landlubbers. 🏴‍☠️

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children who never came home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who carry that pain.

Maple Hills Homestead stands with our Indigenous friends, family and neighbours. We care about your stories, your rights and your future, and we recognize our responsibility to listen, learn and speak up against racism.

Reconciliation asks more of us than wearing orange for a day. It asks us to face the truth and let it change how we treat one another, raise our children and build our communities.

Rosemary, peppermint & witch hazel each bring something different to the table when it comes to supporting a healthy scalp and stronger, fuller-looking hair.

Third annual community reconnect

We will have coffee, tea and a few snacks, bring a snack if you want to but we will have plenty.

This is a chance for neighbours to catch up and for some to get to know each other. Just like the old days! Some of us have been here our whole lives and some are newcomers, but all are welcome.

If it's raining, and we're inside, we have cats

If it's not raining you can bring a lawn chair

Our final weekend of the season. 🍂

And what a beautiful season it has been.

We are endlessly grateful for this community.
For every person who stopped by, picked up something local, brought a friend, shared a post, chatted with us at the stand, or simply chose to support small and local. You have kept this little farmstand going, and we truly couldn’t do it without you. 🤎

And just as much gratitude goes to our wonderful vendors, who show up week after week with the things they grow, bake, preserve, pour, create and make by hand. There is something pretty special about filling a farmstand with things made by people who care deeply about what they do.

And we’re especially excited to welcome a special guest vendor for our final weekend:

🏺 Amy Laloon Pottery has brought us a collection of beautiful, completely unique handmade mugs. No two are quite alike, and once they’re gone, they’re gone; so come have a look and find the one that feels like yours.

If you’ve been meaning to make one last trip to the farmstand, this is the weekend. 🌻
