Surprise! I'm at the Perth Farmers' Market today! Come say hi 👋 from 8-1 at Crystal Palace. The rain is holding off until the afternoon and there are a stack of great vendors indoors and outdoors!

✨️For customers who enjoy regular sourdough orders, I’m now offering a monthly subscription option.✨️

At the start of each month, you’ll be able to select the Wednesdays you’d like to order, choose from our regular sourdough menu, and pre-pay for the month. Your orders will then be prepared and ready for pickup on your selected Wednesdays at a consistent time slot.

If this is something you’re interested in, please send me your email address if I don’t already have it on file. I’ll add you to the subscription list and send out monthly ordering details and reminders.

🍞 Real bread is a little different — and we love it that way.

At Two Hearts Homestead, our sourdough is made with simple ingredients and no unnecessary preservatives. That means our bread isn’t designed to sit on the counter for weeks — it’s made to be enjoyed fresh.

Because every loaf is naturally made and preservative-free:
✨ Best enjoyed within 2–3 days for peak freshness
✨ Store in a paper bag or bread box
✨ Freeze extra slices for later
✨ Skip the fridge (it can make bread go stale faster!)

Don’t worry if your loaf starts to firm up — a little water and a few minutes in the oven can bring it right back to life.

I've included our Sourdough Bread Care Tips in the next photo so you can get the most out of every loaf ❤️

My neighbor, friend and fellow homsteader will be having her annual plant sale in a week! Check out her page for additional information and product highlights ✨️ 🌿🪴

Hard to believe with the cool weather we've been having, but the plant sale is less than a week away! Things to note for next Saturday:
1) Cash or Etransfer Only
2) If you're planning on picking up more than a few plants, bringing a small bin or cardboard box for transport is a good idea.
3) We reuse plants pots as much as we can. Some have labels/writing from multiple years on them, pay attention to the signs on the tables and ignore any old writing on the pots.
4) It's been a slow, cold spring. The plants are doing well, but some may seem less mature than previous years. They will quickly take off with a few warm sunny days!

Psst, in case you missed it we return to our stomping grounds outside and inside the Crystal Palace this Saturday, May 9th. While the growing season starts slow here in Ontario, we are doing our best to bring you a wide range of produce, art, crafts and food to eat all made by our wonderful vendors. And we return every Saturday 8am to 1pm until October!
